    Abstract: Particulates in the form of fine dust are removed from gas streams by impinging the particles on screens located in the path of the particles to result in the build up of a deposit on the mesh, until the deposits grow to a sufficient size that the combined effect of gravity and gas flow dislodges the deposits, which are collected.
