Abstract: A box for containing and distributing fertilizer in dry pellet form comprising a frusto-pyramidal hopper including two end walls, two side walls and a bottom wall; a moving belt conveyor including an upper run passing over the bottom wall of the hopper and extending through openings in the hopper at the lower edges of each of said end walls; and a plurality of saddle plates supportingly connected to the outer sides of the two side walls of the hopper and extending downwardly therefrom. A pair of hydraulic fluid tanks extend along the lower edges of the side walls and are secured to the lower ends of the saddle plates. A plurality of transverse channel members are connected between the hydraulic fluid tanks and extend transversely across the hopper under the bottom wall thereof. A plurality of horizontally spaced, longitudinally extending supporting rods are positioned between the channel members and the bottom wall of the hopper to support the bottom wall on the channel members.
