Abstract: Processes for catalytically synthesizing ethylbenzene from ethanol and benzene comprising: 1) reacting a first mixture comprising ethanol and benzene with at least one catalyst chosen from binder-containing alkylation catalysts and binder-free alkylation catalysts in an alkylation reactor to obtain a second mixture comprising residual benzene, ethylbenzene, diethylbenzene, and water; 2) passing the second mixture successively through a benzene recovery tower, an ethylbenzene recovery tower, and a polyethylbenzene recovery tower to obtain separated water, separated benzene, separated ethylbenzene, and separated diethylbenzene; and 3) reacting a third mixture with at least one transalkylation catalyst in a transalkylation reactor, wherein the third mixture comprises at least some of the separated benzene and at least some of the separated diethylbenzene at a weight ratio ranging from about 2:1 to about 10:1.

Abstract: The present invention provides a needle-retractable safety including an improved barrel type plunger, including a barrel, a needle retracted trigger and a supporting member. A front portion of the barrel is fitted over a sealing rubber pad, a slotted hole is disposed at a wall of the front portion of the barrel, a bearing piece is provided in the slotted hole, and one end of the bearing piece is connected to the front side wall of the slotted hole. The barrel and supporting member are provided with a snap-in structure, respectively, which make supporting member releasably engaged in said barrel. The supporting member is able to translate backwards under the action of a needle retraction force so that said bearing piece can be returned to such a position that said needle can be retracted backwards to the interior of the barrel.

Abstract: A subframe processing method and device are disclosed. The subframe processing method includes: if data packets that are not received by an evolved NodeB (eNB) include at least two consecutive Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) data packets to be scheduled in a Dynamic Schedule Period (DSP) by the eNB, setting a subframe of the eNB that is used to transmit Dynamic Schedule Information (DSI) corresponding to the DSP to null. When the eNB finds that consecutive MBMS data packets are lost and/or that a type 0 Protocol Data Unit (PDU) group is lost, a subframe used to transmit the DSI may be set to null, thereby preventing the eNB from transmitting incorrect DSI which may interfere with other eNBs and cause incorrect data receiving of a user equipment (UE).

Abstract: An approach is provided for presenting video assets. An asset manager determines a plurality of factors for positioning of video assets represented on a graphical user interface. The asset manager then determines weighting of the factors using one or more rules that are based on a search operation or a browse operation relating to the assets. From the determined plurality of factors and weighting of the factors, the asset manager computes a score for ranking of a particular one of the assets with respect to the positioning of other ones of the assets.

Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods and systems for improving the relevancy of Interactive Program Guide search results on a wireless user's handset and television (hereinafter, “IPG”). The IPG implements a search facility whereby users may enter search criteria into a wireless user's handset or television or the like and receive search results sorted to provide the most relevant results first. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, comprising: receiving search criteria into a search engine; determining one or more search results in response to the search criteria; querying one or more databases of attributes; comparing the search results to the attributes; calculating weights for each of the search results according to one or more attributes; sorting the search results so the results are returned in order of relevance according to the weighting; and returning the results.

Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for local DVR scheduling conflict management (hereinafter, “SCM”). SCM systems allow for automatic organization, prioritization, and conflict resolution for multiple scheduled recording specifications. Conflicting scheduled recordings may be re-organized based on single-stage and/or multi-stage conflict resolution procedures. Embodiments of SCM systems may also implement weighted conflict resolution, wherein user preferences and/or prioritizations may be assigned to scheduled recordings and considered in the re-organization of conflicting recordings.
