    Abstract: A system has been created that represents a binary file with a combination of signatures that account for both structure as expressed by control flow and an abstraction of functionality as expressed by import behavior. The system analyses intra-subroutine control flow and calls to import code units. The system generates structure signatures for the subroutines based on the intra-subroutine control flows. The system also generates an import behavior signature based on calls to import code units and caller-callee relationships between the subroutines and the import code units. The system uses the structure signatures to identify the caller subroutines in generating the import behavior signature. The combination of structure signatures and import behavior signature allows for accurate determination of code similarity without the noise of superficial variations in code organization and other mutations or alterations that facilitate avoiding malware detection.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a liquid-cooling radiating pipe and a vacuum interrupter with a built-in liquid-cooling radiating pipe, belonging to the field of vacuum circuit breakers. Based on an original structure of an vacuum interrupter, a liquid-cooling radiating pipe of a Tesla valve structure is arranged in a conductive rod of the vacuum interrupter with the built-in liquid-cooling radiating pipe, and liquid metal is used as a circulating coolant in the liquid-cooling radiating pipe, and by using the self-circulating flow of the liquid metal in the pipeline, the capacity of the conductive rod to dissipate heat to the outside is significantly increased, and the problem of excessive internal temperature rise of a vacuum circuit breaker is effectively solved.

    Abstract: An electronic device (such as an access point) that selectively performs authentication to a network is described. During operation, the electronic device provides an identity request addressed to the second electronic device. Then, the electronic device receives, associated with the second electronic device, an identity response. In response, when the authentication computer is unavailable, the electronic device accesses, in memory, a predefined hash function and associated authentication parameters for an authentication technique. Next, the electronic device performs authentication with the second electronic device based at least in part on the predefined hash function, where the authentication is compatible with the authentication technique (a type of EAP). Moreover, the electronic device generates an encryption key, and establishes secure communication with the second electronic device by performing a four-way handshake with the second electronic device based at least in part on the encryption key.

    Abstract: An apparatus for analysing a sample of granular material, such as soil, is described. An elongated housing has a channel extending therethrough to define an optical path. A cavity is defined within the top of the housing to receive the sample, and a transparent sample-receiving surface is disposed within the cavity at a first elevation from the bottom of the housing. A lens assembly is positioned within the optical path at a second, lower, elevation. The lens assembly magnifies an image formed by light beams reflected by or transmitted through the sample. An image capturing device is disposed across the optical path at a third elevation that is lower than the second elevation. The image capturing device is thus lower than both the lens assembly and the transparent sample-receiving surface. A light source is mounted within the housing to emit light toward the sample-receiving surface.
