    Abstract: In the field of communications technologies, disclosed are a program playing method and apparatus, to resolve problems of relatively high costs of an internet protocol television (IPTV) operator and relatively high costs for subscribing to and maintaining an IPTV service by a user. In the method, a communications device receives a program playing request message sent by using a first transmission protocol. The communications device determines a corresponding target program channel based on a media file identifier included in the program playing request message, and may send a data stream request message to an IPTV platform by using a second transmission protocol. The communications device may send, by using the first transmission protocol, a received data stream to a playing device for play.

    Abstract: A cascaded distribution framework includes a global positioning system receiver in communication with optical line terminals. Each global positioning system receiver receives a signal from a corresponding global positioning system satellite. Each optical line terminal includes a management card for each global positioning system receiver in communication with the optical line terminal and a line card. The management card receives a global positioning system signal from a corresponding global positioning system receiver. The line card is collocated for each management card in the optical line terminal. Each line card receives a global positioning system signal from each management card in the optical line terminal, determines a signal quality score of each received signal based on a signal drift and a phase precision of the corresponding signal, and selects one of the received global positioning system signals having the highest signal quality score.

Each global positioning system receiver receives a signal from a corresponding global positioning system satellite. Each optical line terminal includes a management card and a line card. The management card receives a signal from a corresponding global positioning system receiver. Each line card receives a signal from each management card and determines a signal drift and a phase precision for each signal. The system manager receives a failure communication for a global positioning system signal from a line card when the signal drift of the global positioning system signal is above a threshold signal drift or the phase precision of the signal is below a threshold phase precision. The system manager identifies a failure location of the signal within the system based on one or more received failure communications.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, an apparatus, and a system for a layer 2 interworking based on an IPv6. The method includes: receiving a router solicitation packet of the first terminal device, and sending a router advertisement packet to the first terminal device. The router advertisement packet carries a prefix option including an AdvOnlink tag and a management tag, to enable generation of a direct route to the second terminal device according to the AdvOnlink tag, and the management tag is used to direct the first terminal device to adopt a DHCP to obtain an IP address. The method, apparatus, and system provided according to embodiments of the present invention may implement the direct route between terminal devices to which IPv6 addresses with a same prefix are assigned by a same DHCP server.
