Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for traffic detection. The method which may be performed by a first network node includes receiving a message from a second network node. The method further includes determining packet flow description information for traffic detection according to the message. The packet flow description information may indicate a combination criterion for two or more packet flow descriptions, and/or a protocol matching criterion for a domain name in a packet flow description. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the packet flow description definition can be extended to support more accurate traffic detection.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method executed in a domain name system (DNS) proxy, and to a DNS proxy, apparatus or system for application server (AS) discovery for edge computing in a mobile network. The method comprises receiving a DNS query from a user equipment (UE) with an application fully qualified domain name (FQDN). Based on FQDN, retrieving a location of the UE that sent the DNS query; adding subnet(s) or full IP address(es) of one or more preferred location for accessing to a data network (DN) as one or more Extension mechanisms for DNS (EDNS) client subnet (ECS) options in the DNS query; forwarding the DNS query to a mobile network operator (MNO) DNS; receiving a DNS response and based on the DNS response determining an AS site and AS IP address(es); requesting traffic steering and sending the DNS response to the UE.

According to one aspect, a method for reporting API capability change according to an API filter comprises receiving a request to be notified of an API capability change related to an identified wireless device, the request identifying a set of one or more APIs to be monitored; receiving a notification that the identified wireless device has changed from a first type of core network to a second type of core network; determining an API capability change from the first type of core network to the second type of core network for the identified set of one or more APIs to be monitored; and reporting the API capability change for the identified set of one or more APIs to be monitored and not reporting the API capability change for APIs not in the identified set.

Abstract: A method of updating a background data transfer, BDT, policy negotiated between an application function, AF, and a Core Network, CN, is disclose. The method is performed by a Policy Control Function, PCF, of the CN and comprises determining updated BDT policy information including updated conditions for the negotiated BDT policy and at least one candidate BDT policy for the AP to select when the PCF determines that the negotiated BDT policy is affected by degraded network performance. The determined updated BDT policy information is then sent to the AF by the PCF using notification type interaction, thereby effectively updating the negotiated BDT policy.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for group content delivery. A method in a communication network which comprises the content provider node and a broadcast-multicast service node, wherein the content provider node needs to deliver a message to a group of user equipments via the broadcast multicast service node. The method comprises obtaining one or more group identifiers. The method further comprises sending the one or more group identifiers to the broadcast-multicast service node.

A method performed by a first mobile management node comprises receiving information regarding a first interworking service capability exposure function (IWK-SCEF) from a second mobile management node. The method further comprises determining whether the first mobile management node and the second mobile management node use a same IWK-SCEF based on the information regarding the first IWK-SCEF. The method further comprises sending an indication of whether the first mobile management node and the second mobile management node use the same IWK-SCEF to the second mobile management node.

The method further comprises initiating a location reporting procedure for the location information of the first location management client. The network exposure node obtains, from a subscriber management node, the globally valid IDs and the locally valid IDs of the one or more terminal devices and a correspondence between the globally valid IDs and the locally valid IDs.
