  • Publication number: 20080073469
Abstract: A mounting bracket (22) is provided for securing to both square-hole racks (12) and round hole racks (16). An inner support pin (24) extends for fitting within round-shaped holes (18) and engaging a side of the round-hole racks (16). An outer support sleeve (26) is slidably moveable over the inner support pin (24) for fitting within square-shaped holes (14) and engaging a side of the square-hole racks (16). A bias spring (40) urges the outer support sleeve (26) to extend over the inner support pin (24). A lock pin assembly (27) has an enlarged diameter portion (30) for fitting within the square holes (14) and a smaller diameter portion (28) for fitting within the round holes (18) to lock the support sleeve (26) and the support in (24) in mounting holes (14 and 18) of respective ones of the square-hole racks (12) and the round-hole racks (16).

  • Publication number: 20070132347
Abstract: A bearing drawer slide (10) has an inner slide member (16) which is slidably extensible from within an outer slide member (14). Captives bearings (28) have elongate bodies (29) for locating in fixed relation to a rearward end (20) of the inner slide member (16), disposed within the bearing spaces (48) between the inner slide member (16) and the outer slide member (14), with sides (31, 33) of the elongate bodies (29) fitting against bearing races (36, 46) of the outer and inner slide members (14, 16). The captive bearings (28) are moveable with the inner slide member (16) relative to the outer slide member (14), and prevent movement of the rearward end (20) of the inner slide member (16) relative to the outer slide member (14) in directions which are transverse to the directions in which inner slide member (14) extends relative to the outer slide member (16), particularly when the inner slide member (14) is fully retracted within the outer slide member (16).

  • Publication number: 20060279187
Abstract: A bearing retainer lock (30) for a drawer slide (12) has a detent pin (34) which engages within an opening (38) formed into a forward end (36) of a bearing retainer (26). The detent pin (34) is mounted to the slide member (16) to which the bearing retainer (26) is secured. A slot (60) is formed into the detent pin (34) such that sides of the detent pin (60) have a predetermined flexibility. The opening (38) in the bearing retainer (26) has two side portions (50) which are of selected widths to determine a flexibility of the opening (38). The size and depth of the slot (60) in the detent pin (34) are selected in combination with the width of the side portions (50) of the opening (38) such that the detent pin (34) will engage within and release from the opening (38) at a predetermined force.

  • Patent number: 7008030
Abstract: A drawer slide (12) has a first slide member (14) and second slide member (16). A lock member (80) has a forward portion (102), a central portion (104) and a tab (106). The forward portion (102) is mounted to the first slide member (14). The central portion (104) extends from the forward portion (102) and fits within an aperture (82) in a forward end of the second slide member (16) to secure the first slide member (14) to the second slide member (16). A release member (66) is slidably secured to the first slide member (14), and has a first window (140) through which the central portion (104) extends, a second window (138) through which the tab (106) extends, and a cam (76) disposed adjacent to the second window (138) for pushing the tab (106) to remove the central portion (104) of the lock member (80) from the aperture (82).

  • Patent number: 6979067
Abstract: A drawer slide (12) has a chassis member (14), an intermediate member (16) and a rack member (18). An emboss (162) is formed into the rack member (18). A lock member (158) has a tab (160) which extends through a window (164) in the intermediate member (16) for engaging the emboss (162). A slot (166) is formed into the lock member (158) for receiving a fastener (168) to slidably secure the lock member (158) to the intermediate member (16). The slot (166) and the window (164) are configured for receiving the fastener (168) and the tab (160), respectively, such that the lock member (158) is lineally moveable relative to the intermediate member (16). A torsion spring (172) biases the lock member (158) to engage the emboss (162). The chassis member (14) is moved rearward and engages the lock member (158) to move the tab (160) aside of the emboss (162).
