In some embodiments, a testing device may be considered self-contained in that it may include sufficient onboard systems and features to allow the testing device to conduct testing on one or more target test devices with minimal inputs, such as electrical power, higher-level instructions, and/or control inputs. In some embodiments, a testing device may include an explosion- and/or fire-proof or -resistant enclosure. In some embodiments, components of a testing device may be modularized for easy reconfiguring for different testing and/or different target test devices.     Abstract: A flexible splicable light-emitting apparatus and system and a control method are provided. The light-emitting apparatus includes: at least two flexible light-emitting units and at least two node devices configured to series-connect any two of the flexible light-emitting units in series. Each of the flexible light-emitting units includes: a flexible base and a light-emitting component arranged on the flexible base and being capable of emitting a preset color, brightness, and flicker frequency according to control instructions. Two terminals of each of the flexible light-emitting units are electrically matched with interfaces of the node devices, and two or more of the flexible light-emitting units are electrically connected through the node devices. A combination of the node devices and the flexible light-emitting units forms a preset pattern with intersection points. Any one of the intersection points is formed by series connection of at least two flexible light-emitting units and the node device.

    Abstract: The present application discloses a conductive high-strength diamond/amorphous carbon composite material and a preparation process thereof. The present application further discloses a process for preparing the above diamond/amorphous carbon composite material. The process comprises using sp3 carbon powder or glassy carbon as a raw material to obtain the above-mentioned material by sintering. The preparation process includes the following steps: A) weighing a predetermined amount of spherical boron nitride nano-powders with onion-like structure, pre-pressing them into a pre-pressed body and putting the pre-pressed body into a sintering mold; B) putting the pre-pressed body obtained in step A) together with the sintering mold into a spark plasma sintering apparatus or a hot-pressing sintering apparatus for sintering; and C) taking out the mold after cooling, and removing the mold to obtain the boron nitride dense ceramic block with high plasticity and high elasticity. According to the present invention, a boron nitride ceramic with high strength and high plasticity is obtained via sintering spherical boron nitride nano-powders with onion-like structure.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for stabilizing the output of a mode-locked laser by monitoring the temporal behavior of the pulse train profile and controlling the laser cavity optical length and/or loss modulation frequency accordingly. A mismatch of the cavity optical length and the loss modulation frequency will yield a first characteristic noise condition on the laser beam pulse train when the optical length is too short for a given loss modulation frequency and a second, different noise condition when the optical length is too long. The laser beam is monitored and analyzed to determine which noise condition is present. The cavity optical length is adjusted accordingly by movement of one or more optical elements or by changing the index of refraction of one or more optical elements. In the alternative, or additionally, the loss modulation frequency can be adjusted to bring the laser back into mode lock.
