  • Patent number: 8792747
Abstract: An image processing method and device, and a medical instrument are provided to perform equalization processing on a residual image obtained by decomposing an input image, and perform composition processing on the equalized residual image and a detail image obtained by decomposing the input image to obtain a result image.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 27, 2011
Date of Patent: July 29, 2014
Assignee: Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd.
    Inventor: Wenwu Sun
  • Patent number: 8542944
Abstract: An input image is decomposed into a residual image and a set of detail images in different levels of a hierarchy. The set of detail images are enhanced after which noise reduction filtering is directly applied to the enhanced set of detail images without the need to apply noise estimation to a local area of the enhanced set of detail image in advance. The residual image and the set of detail images with reduced noise are recomposed so as to obtain resultant image.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 2009
Date of Patent: September 24, 2013
Assignee: Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd.
    Inventor: Wenwu Sun
  • Patent number: 8204332
Abstract: A method and device for generating an adaptive image tone scale curve and an image processing system including the device are provided. The method may include determining an abscissa and an ordinate of a reference control point and a reference slope of a curve passing the reference control point according to an image of different tissue sites and/or different orientations depending upon one or more practical requirements; calculating an average value of pixels in an area of interest in the image and using the average value as a current image feature value; constructing an S-shaped reference tone scale curve equation by using the coordinates of the reference control point and the reference slope; and substituting coordinates of a new control point and a slope of a curve passing the new control point into the S-shaped reference tone scale curve equation to calculate parameters therein, so as to obtain the adaptive image tone scale curve.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 24, 2010
Date of Patent: June 19, 2012
Assignee: Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd.
    Inventor: Wenwu Sun
  • Patent number: 8135191
Abstract: A method for automatically detecting a collimation edge or region includes reading an image captured by an X-ray imaging system, detecting intersection points between a foreground and a background and between a foreground and a tissue on the X-ray image, and performing a Hough transform or Radon transform on the detected intersection points to form collimation edge lines interconnecting the foreground and the background, and the foreground and the tissue, respectively.

Date of Patent: March 13, 2012
Assignee: Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd.
