Abstract: A packet processing method includes receiving, by a forwarding plane device, a first packet transmitted by a user, where an identity of the user is comprised in the first packet, and a forwarding table is comprised in the forwarding plane device, determining, by the forwarding plane device, an identity of a service according to a corresponding relationship between the identity of the user and the identity of the service as well as the identity of the user in the first packet, generating, by the forwarding plane device, a second packet by encapsulating the first packet with the identity of the service, and transmitting the second packet to a network device to enable the network device to manage the service according to the identity of the service in the second packet.

The method includes: determining whether a current to-be-sent target packet is a header packet or a following packet in a burst sequence; when the target packet is the following packet in the burst sequence, obtaining port information of an egress port used to send the burst sequence, where the port information of the egress port is determined and stored when the header packet in the burst sequence is sent, and the burst sequence is a sequence including a plurality of packets that belong to a same service flow; and sending the target packet through the obtained egress port.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a system for implementing protection switching in Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network, the method includes: transmitting by a first Egress Label Switched Router (LSR) first probe packets to an Ingress LSR via a first Label Switching Path (LSP); switching by the Ingress LSR working traffic to a third LSP terminated at a second Egress LSR when the Ingress LSR does not receive the first probe packets. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the Ingress LSR may learn the failure of the Egress LSR according to the result of receiving the probe packets when a failure of the Egress LSR occurs, and switches the working traffic correspondingly. Moreover, the working LSP and protection LSP are not terminated at a same Egress LSR, but correspond to different Egress LSRs which greatly improves the security of the MPLS network.

Abstract: A method and device for implementing active and standby gateway devices in a network are provided. The method includes: determining, by a device connected to at least two gateway devices, status of the gateway devices; notifying, by the device, the gateway devices of information of determined active or standby status; implementing corresponding processing functions by the gateway devices according to the information of determined active or standby status sent from the device. With the invention, the switchover speed between active and standby gateway devices may be faster, the switchover time required may be reduced to 50 ms, from 3 s. Two gateway devices are impossible to become active gateway at the same time in the invention, thereby an error switchover between active and standby gateway devices may be avoided, the switchover may be more accurate and reliable.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a system for implementing protection switching in Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network, the method includes: transmitting by a first Egress Label Switched Router (LSR) first probe packets to an Ingress LSR via a first Label Switching Path (LSP); switching by the Ingress LSR working traffic to a third LSP terminated at a second Egress LSR when the Ingress LSR does not receive the first probe packets. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the Ingress LSR may learn the failure of the Egress LSR according to the result of receiving the probe packets when a failure of the Egress LSR occurs, and switches the working traffic correspondingly. Moreover, the working LSP and protection LSP are not terminated at a same Egress LSR, but correspond to different Egress LSRs which greatly improves the security of the MPLS network.
