The faceplate further includes a snorkel coupling having a passageway contained therein and conduits connecting the passageways with a lower chamber. The faceplate further includes a flexible tubular insert defining a passageway extending through the faceplate to the lower chamber. The tubular insert has a distal end dimensioned to fit and seal onto the mouthpiece receiver tube of a conventional second stage scuba regulator. The mask may be interchangeably configured for both scuba and snorkeling environments.
