  • Patent number: 6345951
Abstract: A cross flow fan of an air conditioner for reducing noise and vibration produced due to a rotation of the cross flow fan, by an improvement in a blade arrangement which has a regularity as a whole and an irregularity as respective units. Such a cross flow fan is installed in an indoor unit of the air conditioner, and has a plurality of blades functioning to circulate an inside air. The blades of the cross flow fan are divided into a plurality of blade groups consisting of a uniform number of blades, and the blades in the same blade group are arranged at uniformly increasing angles, while the pattern of the blade arrangement throughout the complete blade groups is uniformly formed.

  • Patent number: 6343484
Abstract: An air blowing apparatus of an air conditioner having an outdoor fan which includes a hub and vanes faced with a condenser at a predetermined distance, wherein the outdoor fan is assembled at a distance between the hub and the condenser no larger than 1.3 times the distance between the vanes and the condenser, thereby preventing a whirling phenomenon, in which air is infused toward the center of the hub in rotations of the outdoor fan and accomplishing smooth condensation by getting normal air flow to form at the center of the condenser faced with the hub.

  • Patent number: 6032479
Abstract: A window-mounted air conditioner has indoor and outdoor heat exchangers associated with respective first and second fans, and a duct for forming an air passage. One part of the air passage has a larger cross sectional area than another part thereof disposed upstream of the one part. A guide blade is positioned in the one part to divide the one part into sections so that the velocity and pressure of air flowing through the one part is substantially the same as the velocity and pressure of air flowing through the other part.
