  • Patent number: 5168430
Abstract: The flexible printed circuit device, includes at least one hybrid circuit structure having assigned contact areas, a rigid printed circuit board, a flexible printed circuit board portion also having assigned contact areas on one end region thereof and being connected electrically to the rigid printed circuit board, a plurality of bonding electrical conductors, each of the electrical conductors being bonded at one end thereof to one of the assigned contact areas on the at least one hybrid circuit structure and, at the other end thereof, to one of the assigned contact areas on the end region of the flexible printed circuit board portion; and a rigid support, the hybrid circuit structure being mounted on the rigid support. The end region of the flexible printed circuit board portion is fixedly mounted on the rigid support in side-by-side relationship with the hybrid circuit structure.

  • Patent number: 4658772
Abstract: A glow plug electrically heated during start-up to help bring the air-fuel mixture of an internal combustion engine to ignition temperature when the engine is cold, instead of being turned off as soon as the engine is running, has its heating current controlled so as to maintain the glow plug temperature within a desired range, as the result of which the engine can be made to run more quietly and more smoothly under many conditions. The current control unit which varies the glow plug current responds to the output signal of a computing unit responsive to various engine operation parameters, including especially a signal representative of the rate of feeding fuel to the engine.

  • Patent number: 4528962
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for lambda regulation are proposed which provide an optimizing of the integrator inclination in accordance with the time elapsed following a switching process of the lambda sensor. The processable time can adjust itself to the rpm of the internal combustion engine. Minimum and maximum values, at least, of the integrator inclination are efficaciously dependent on rpm and/or load. It is furthermore provided that fuel quantity values be determined during quasi-stationary operating states via an average-value formation of minimum and maximum correction values. In addition to a possible hardware realization, a computer realization having a learning regulation system is also proposed.

  • Patent number: 4442817
Abstract: An electronically controlled fuel metering system for an internal combustion engine is proposed which has mixture regulation which can be switched on and off depending upon the operational state of the engine. The system for mixture regulation includes an integrator with an alternating integration direction which can be switched on during steady and quasi-steady operational states. It is further proposed that the integrator time constant be selected in accordance with operating characteristics of the engine and time during the regulation period. For mixture metering, average values are used based on switching values, for instance of a .lambda. sensor in the exhaust pipe. The proposed system is also useable in connection with learning regulating systems, in which corrected values for .lambda.=1 or values for .lambda..noteq.1 computed on that basis and these values then serve as initial values for new regulating cycles.

  • Patent number: 4329640
Abstract: A monolithically very large scale integrated circuit (VLSI) having any arbitrarily given structure and an internal test circuit only requiring one, two or three additional outer terminals wherein the test circuit is integrated therein. In one embodiment the test circuit contains a counter and a combinational circuit interconnected with the counter reading outputs thereof as well as selection switches associated with test points and where the first of the additional terminals is connected to the counting input of the counter.
