    Abstract: The present invention relates to a labeling apparatus for paying out and applying self-adhesive labels, which with each operating cycle moves one self-adhesive label into a dispensing position underneath an applicator roll having a sleeve with a cylindrical jacket, via which sleeve the applicator roll is rotatably mounted on a hub. It is proposed to equip the sleeve with at least one profiled ring projecting radially outwardly beyond the cylindrical jacket. Because the profiled ring and the sleeve are made preferably of a material that is harder than the cylindrical jacket and hence ink-repellent, the printed data on the label are not smeared, in spite of the low outlay involved in the manufacture of the applicator roll.

    Abstract: A manual, or hand-held labelling device has a printing apparatus and a pivoting lever on which pivoting lever there is a journal pivot pin on which an inking roller can be loosely mounted. For axially securing the inking roller on the journal pivot pin, within the housing of the manual labelling device, there can be at least one raised, guide track in the form of a circular arc, on the housing of the labelling device, and on the side opposite to the pivoting lever. This guide track essentially corresponds to the path of the inking roller on the pivoting lever as the pivoting lever is moved during a labelling operation, and thus supports the inking roller from moving axially off of the pivot pin during movement of the pivoting lever during the labelling operation.

An inking device serves for inking the print types of the printing mechanism (34) before each printing operation; said device comprises an inking roll (46) which is held by a stirrup (51) pivotally mounted in the device housing and which on pivoting of the stirrup member (51) rolls on the print types of the printing mechanism (34).

    Abstract: The rotatably mountable track chain roller has two molded axle journal stubs which each engage rotatably in an end cap formed as a radial and axial bearing. Further expecially the track chain roller is provided with lubricant material for its bearings which has a lubricant action on them. An easy and economical manufacture for the track chain roller results when at least one spacer suitable for providing a set value of axial play in the axial direction of the track chain roller is clamped between the track chain roller and one of the end caps without play. The spacer is made of a soft grindable lubricant-resistant material which does not influence the lubricant action and which is grindable against the track chain roller, the axial journal and the end cap. The spacer can be ring shaped and have a plurality of approximately equal width spacing maintaining regions distributed approximately equally circumferentially around the ring and connected by straps of a narrower width.

The polymers thus prepared are effective milling aids and dispersants for pigments for producing aqueous pigment slurries for use in paper-coating compositions.

At the contact face between the inking roll holder (25) and the pivot member (21) detent means (35, 36) are disposed which secure the inking roll holder (25) in the fitted position on the pivot member (21).

    Abstract: An apparatus is described by which a label bearing tape can be transported intermittently in a manually operated labeler. The device contains a transporting carriage (19) reciprocable along the label bearing tape (5). In the carriage a latch (22) with a clamping face (25) is held in frictional engagement with the label bearing tape so that during movement of the carriage in one direction it freely slides on the label bearing tape, while during movement of the carriage in the other direction it clamps the label bearing tape against an abutment surface (26) with self-locking action. The clamping face of the latch is covered with abrasive paper, preferably with an aluminous abrasive paper.

Only a part of the desired expansion is produced before the picture is stored for interlaced read-out in pairs of television fields. Thereafter the rest of the desired expansion is produced, with a further selection of the portion of each line to be viewed. Varying the read-out start address to shift the section of the picture to be reproduced in television form is done frame by frame in the first store and field by field in the second store and the two shift adjustments can be programmed in combination for smooth transitions.

When the print head rebounds, this lift engages in a notch (30) and holds the print head spaced from the print table.This arrangement is provided to prevent a second printing of characters on the labels as a result of rebound. In a variant, the rotary cam is replaced by a reciprocating bolt.
