  • Publication number: 20240083382
Abstract: The invention relates to an airbag module (12) comprising a restraint airbag (30) which is inflated in a situation of restraint and, in an inflated state, has a restraining effect on an occupant (16), and at least one backup member (36, 36a, 36b) which, in a restraining state, is at least in portions in contact with the inflated restraint airbag (30) and is configured so that it backs the restraint airbag (30) and in particular absorbs a force (F) applied to the restraint airbag (30) by contacting a vehicle occupant (16), wherein, in the inflated state, the restraint airbag (30) is interposed between the backup member (36, 36a, 36b) and the vehicle occupant (16), wherein the backup member (36, 36a, 36b) is arranged, in an initial state, on or in the airbag module. The invention also relates to a vehicle seat and a vehicle comprising an airbag module according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 5625045
Abstract: High functionality, low viscosity, light colored sucrose-based polyethers are prepared by reacting a starter mixture containing i) approximately 100 parts by weight of sucrose, ii) from about 30 to about 1000 parts by weight of a low molecular weight, relatively high valency alcohol and/or an alkoxylation product of such an alcohol and iii) an alkali metal hydroxide which has been prepared at a temperature of from about 20.degree. to about 110.degree. C. with an alkylene oxide at a temperature of from about 90.degree. to about 130.degree. C. and at a pressure of from about 0.3 to about 4 bar excess nitrogen pressure. These polyether polyols are particularly useful for the production of polyurethanes, particularly rigid polyurethane foams.

  • Patent number: 4605729
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the production of polyetherester polyols which have hydroxyester groups terminally bound via ester groups to high molecular weight polyether polyol segments. These are produced by first reacting high molecular weight polyoxyalkylene ether polyols with molecular weights of from about 400 to 10,000 with an excess of dicarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acid anhydrides or dicarboxylic acid esters, and then reacting the intermediate product in a further stage with an excess of diols, based on carboxyl groups. The new, high molecular weight polyetherester polyols thus consist of polyoxyalkylene ether segments, which have terminal ester segments in each case with terminal hydroxyl groups per end group. Moreover, the use is claimed of the high molecular weight polyetherester polyols as polyhydroxyl compounds for forming polyurethanes.
