  • Patent number: 6437041
Abstract: Aqueous coating agents suitable for multi-layered finishes containing an aqueous binder dispersion based on polyurethane/polymer hybrid polymers with a ratio by weight of polyurethane fraction to polymer fraction of 0.1:1 to 50:1, with a hydroxyl value of 0 to 150 mg KOH/g, an acid value of 1.5 to 60 mg KOH/g, and a concentration of 0.5 to 300 mmol of silicon per 100 g of solid resin in the form of siloxane bridges (—Si—O—Si—) incorporated into the polyurethane fraction and/or in the form of silanol groups bonded to the polyurethane fraction, obtainable by polymerization of olefinically unsaturated monomers in the presence of polyurethane prepolymers which do not contain olefinic double bonds.

  • Patent number: 6355303
Abstract: A process for multi-layer coating by application of a base coat layer of a water-borne base coat to a substrate and subsequent application of a clear coat layer of a powder clear coat, followed by joint baking of both coating layers, wherein said water-borne base coat contains an effective amount, preferably 0.5 to 10 wt. %, of one or more water-insoluble cellulose esters, largely avoids the formation of blisters in the powder clear coat layer.

  • Patent number: 6005388
Abstract: Device and process for detecting defects in an arrangement of reinforcing members in casing plies in a sidewall region of at least one of an unvulcanized tire blank or a vulcanized pneumatic vehicle tire to be tested. The reinforcing members may include a magnetizable material and the device may include a support device that rotatably supports the at least one of the unvulcanized tire blank or the vulcanized pneumatic vehicle tire in rotation around a rotational axis and at least one sensor that measures magnetic field intensities in a heterogeneous magnetic field resulting from inductions generated by the defects in the arrangement of the reinforcing members moving through the heterogeneous magnetic field. • Patent number: 5950416
Abstract: A tentering chain is assembled of inner links and outer links or link plates interconnected by journal pins passing through the outer link plates and through the inner links so that the latter are positioned between the outer link plates. The inner links have plates which are provided with integral bearing bushings that are interconnected at a junction (J) formed by pressing four bearing bushings together with a transition fit after a bearing roller has been placed on each of two of the four bushings to form the inner links. The inner link plates form with their bearing bushings two chain link sections (1, 2) that are easily interconnected at the junction (J) and also easily disconnected again at the junction. Both sections are made by casting or drop forging.
