  • Patent number: 4796581
Abstract: The governor includes a torque-control capsule actuated by a governor member that adjusts in accordance with rpm and disposed in a force-transmitting member subject to the force of a governor spring, by means of which torque-control capsule both the onset and control stroke (b) of torque control are adjustable or settable in an infinitely graduated manner without affecting one another. The torque-control capsule has a stop bolt inserted in a stepped longitudinal bore of a stop housing, a torque-control spring and an adjusting screw, which forms an abutment for the torque-control spring. The adjusting screw is adjustable in an infinitely graduated manner and is secured in a positionally fixed manner inside the stop housing in the vicinity of an internal thread.

  • Patent number: 4794899
Abstract: A correction spring capsule which has a stop bolt inserted in a stepped longitudinal bore of a housing embodied as a screw sheath, a correction spring and an adjusting screw, which forms the abutment for the correction spring. This adjusting screw has the form of a cup-shaped adjusting ring provided with a continuous external thread and having a bottom and a sheath-like wall. The sheath-like wall is deformed into an oval shape in order to attain positional fixation of the adjusting screw and has its greatest deformation in the vicinity of one end section that is open toward the outside. As a result, the adjusting screw is infinitely adjustable and is secured in a positionally fixed manner in any position inside the housing in the vicinity of an internal thread.

  • Patent number: 4735182
Abstract: Centrifugal speed governor of fuel injection pumps for internal combustion engines comprising a centrifugal force adjuster, which actuates an articulated head with its centrifugal weights. The articulated head articulates a double-armed guide lever with brackets by means of an axle. The axle 17 is supported by means of a cross bearing in the articulated head and in a borehole has an oblong cross section which in the adjusting direction, so that the axle can execute a limited swiveling movement about the cross bearing in the borehole.

  • Patent number: 4727839
Abstract: A pneumatic diaphragm control element for a fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engines, in particular for supercharged diesel engines, has a thrust rod that is axially displaceable between two end stop counter to the force of a restoring spring, which thrust rod acts upon a control member of the fuel injection apparatus and is connected to a pressure-actuated diaphragm. One end stop determines the position assumed by the thrust rod when there is no pressure and is embodied as a stop screw for the thrust rod. The second end stop defines the position assumed by the thrust rod with maximal pressure being exerted on the diaphragm, and to this end cooperates with a counterpart stop that is adjustably coupled with the thrust rod.

  • Patent number: 4604978
Abstract: A speed governor for fuel injection pumps is proposed having a guide shaft guided in a cam plate to serve as the pivot shaft for a governor lever connecting an adjusting member and a supply quantity control member. The guide shaft is adjustable and guided appropriately by means of an adjusting lever so far as to form a variable-speed governor adapted to varying the full-load and maximum rpm. The cam plate is adjustable by a device by means of an operating parameter acting independently of the speed governor, for instance, the engagement of a cruising or overdrive gear in a manual transmission. Upon rotation of the cam plate, the guide shaft is displaced by a movement-coupling member into a position in which a minimum idling rpm is assured.

  • Patent number: 4497295
Abstract: The governor includes a force transmission lever subject to the prestressing force of a main governor spring, which lever the governor sleeve comes into operative contact after traversing an idling sleeve path a, and a leaf spring acting as the idling spring. The leaf spring is supported between its two ends on a curved rolloff path, determining its effective spring length, of a support bearing, the operative position of which is adjustable toward the leaf spring in accordance with the pivot angle (.beta.) of an adjusting member by means of an adjusting cam actuable by the adjusting member such as to increase the prestressing force of the leaf spring. The adjusting cam is supported on the force transmission lever in order to prevent influencing the maximum engine speed.

  • Patent number: 4305362
Abstract: A centrigural rpm governor for fuel injected internal combustion engines is proposed in which an adaptor assembly located inside the governor can be used over the entire range of practical applications of such a governor. The governor includes parallel coextensive arms, a governor lever and a cooperative governor rod which has a counterstop provided with a sliding block that is movably disposed between the parallel coextensive arms against the initial stressing force of a spring member with the counterstop being arranged to cooperate with a stop means pivotally associated with the housing. The spring member is arranged to load the sliding block and adjustable for the purpose of varying the initial stress and setting the onset of adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4281630
Abstract: A centrifugal rpm governor for internal combustion engines in which the initial stressing of an adaptation spring is adjustable in a continuously variable manner in the installed state and without changing the spring stroke (b) determining the adaptation path. The governor includes an adaptation device disposed in the force transmitting path between a control member which adjusts in accordance with rpm and a force transmitting member subject to the force of the governor spring, which adaptation device includes in a recessed longitudinal bore, a stop bolt and an adaptation spring supported at one end by a ring screwed onto a threaded portion of the stop bolt, the ring being guided for axial displacement and provided with rotational securing means in the longitudinal bore so that by rotating the stop bolt a variation of the initial stressing of the adaptation spring in a continuously variable manner is possible without affecting the preset spring stroke (b).
