  • Publication number: 20050224958
Abstract: The invention relates to a hard metal substrate body consisting of a WC hard material phase and between 3 and 25 mass % of a binding phase containing at least one binding metal Fe, Co and/or Ni, and up to 15 mass % (in relation to the binding phase) of dissolved dopants from the group containing Al, Cr, Mo, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta. The invention also relates to a method for producing one such hard metal substrate body, using powder metallurgy followed by sintering. According to the invention, the percentage of all of the dopants in the hard metal is limited to a maximum of 4 mass %, the proportion of cubic phase in the hard metal is less than 4 vol. %, and the binding metal content in an edge region of the hard metal substrate body falls from up to 1 ?m, preferably up to 0.5 ?m, to less than half the binding agent content inside the substrate body.

  • Patent number: 4890491
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for displaying the level of liquid in the fuel tank of an automotive vehicle. A liquid-level detector 1 and a display device 3 for indicating liquid level are included in the device. The measurement values of the liquid level are provisionally stored at predeterminable time intervals and compared with the instantaneous measurement values. During travel, increasing measurement values determined by the comparison are not displayed.

  • Patent number: 4770543
Abstract: A device in a motor vehicle for indicating the outside temperature has a speed sensor in addition to an outside-temperature sensor. The device has a memory for storing a detected temperature when a speed signal drops below a threshold value. The current temperature is then displayed if it is less than the stored detected temperature plus a pre-determined amount; otherwise, the stored detected temperature is displayed. When the vehicle speed rises above a second threshold value, a delay time determiner determines the delay time dependent on the vehicle speed, and a time delay is activated. The time delay causes the indicator to display the current temperature upon expiration of a period of time equal to the delay time following the activation of the time delay.

  • Patent number: 4718466
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the electro-thermal measurement of the filling level in the tank of a motor vehicle which includes a resistance sensor adapted to be heated during a heating time of a sampling period. In order to assure that the resistance sensor can cool off again within the sampling period even after several starting attempts of the engine, the sequence control of the circuit arrangement connected with the voltage supply is connected with a further voltage source from which, after turning off the voltage supply, the sequence control is continued to be supplied with voltage by a switching circuit over a time interval which corresponds to the termination of the sampling period.
