Patent number: 8967498Abstract: A device is disclosed which is intended for spraying a pressurized liquid, in particular water, and brings about a good cleaning action despite a low volume flow. The device comprises a plurality of swirl chambers (14), wherein each of the swirl chambers has at least one inlet for feeding the liquid into the respective swirl chamber and an outlet nozzle (18) in order for a liquid jet to exit from the swirl chamber. A liquid stream entering into the device is distributed between the inlets of the swirl chambers by means of an arrangement of inflow channels. The outlet nozzles are inclined in relation to one another such that the exiting liquid jets come into contact with one another at a predetermined distance from the outlet nozzles. This achieves an improved cleaning action. The device may be designed, for example, as a mouthpiece for a sanitary outflow fitting, as a showerhead, etc.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2011Date of Patent: March 3, 2015Assignee: Neoperl International AGInventor: Werner Egli

Patent number: 7314063Abstract: A single-lever mixing valve with stirrup-shaped handle (9) comprises a mixing cartridge (2) which is arranged in a fitting housing (1) and projects with an actuating shank (14), pivotable about a pivot axis (16), into a handle head (18) closed off to the outside, it being possible for the actuating shank (14) to be actuated by the stirrup-shaped handle (9) via pins (11, 11?) leading into the handle head (18). In such a single-lever mixing valve, increased hygiene and an improved visual impression are achieved in a simple construction by the pins (11, 11?) being rotatably mounted about a rotation axis (17) which is in alignment with the pivot axis (16) of the actuating shank (14).Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2005Date of Patent: January 1, 2008Assignee: ARWA AGInventor: Werner Egli

Patent number: 6321788Abstract: The armature consists of a base part (12), in which a pivoting outlet (2) is mounted in a pivoting manner, in which a mixer valve (1) with one connection (9) each for cold and warm water is mounted. A rotating part (8) is inserted into the base part (12) with one first canal (18, 19) each for cold and warm water. The first canals (18, 19) are connected via rigid lines (7) with the connections (9). The supply lines (16′, 17′) for cold and warm water are connected to second canals (16, 17) in the base part (12). The first and second canals (16-19) are connected hydraulically via a separate pivoting connection each. In so doing, an unimpaired pivoting of the outlet as well as a problem-free implementation of the high-pressure warm and cold water supply to the mixer valve is made possible.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1999Date of Patent: November 27, 2001Assignee: Armaturefabrik Wallisellen AGInventor: Werner Egli

Patent number: 5647393Abstract: An inner body 3 of a single lever faucet contains channels 29 for cold and hot water, and carries a mixing valve 11 with an operating lever 1. The inner body fits within a casing 2, and is equipped with a quick coupling 16 on the discharge nozzle side. Attachment members 4, 5, 6 for mounting the inner body of an armature connection unit 7 in a building wall 23 are designed for flexible connection in a rotational direction, and are removable in an axial direction. The resulting single-point armature can be economically manufactured and mounted quickly without problems in the construction trade.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1996Date of Patent: July 15, 1997Assignee: Armaturenfabrik Wallisellen AGInventor: Werner Egli

Patent number: 5325887Abstract: A device for correcting interchanged pipe connections in a sink or bathtub faucet has a housing 1 with passages 10,11 for hot and cold water. From each passage tap lines 14, 15 run to a cylindrical recess 2 having a flat bottom 22. Discharge pipes 5,5' for mixed water are also led to the bottom by tap lines 16,17. The two feed tap lines 14,15 and, diagonally opposite, the discharge tap lines 16,17, empty centrally. A connector 6 installed in the recess 2 is provided with passages 34-37, which starting from annular channels 18-20 located at the bottom, lead to openings of feed pipes 24-27 in a fitting housing 9. The connector has two pieces, a central part 7 installed interchangeably by 180.degree. in a peripheral part 8. The connector 6 can also be rotated by 180.degree. on the housing 9, or by 360.degree. together with the housing.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1993Date of Patent: July 5, 1994Assignee: Fides Trust AGInventors: Werner Egli, Rene Dolder

Patent number: 5123437Abstract: A safety valve arrangement for a single lever water tap includes, disposed coaxially in series in a removable module 18, a first air ventilating valve 20, a second air ventilating valve 21, and a non-return valve 22 coupled to and controlling the second ventilating valve. The non-return valve is disposed in the mixed water outlet passage of the tap such that when it opens in response to a water demand, it automatically closes the second ventilating valve, and vice versa.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1991Date of Patent: June 23, 1992Assignee: Armaturenfabrik Wallisellen AGInventors: Werner Egli, Jakob Wettstein

Patent number: 4705072Abstract: In a mixing valve having a stationary ceramic disc 22 and a movable control disc 20, a control shaft 5 is arranged in a radial through bore 46 in a guide part 43 rotatably mounted in a housing 32. A control pin 15 is inserted through a central bore in the control shaft, and its spherical lower end engages a socket 17 of a connecting piece 18 rigid with the control disc. Sleeves 7 having flanged outer ends configured for the attachment of an operating yoke 3 are mounted on both ends of the control shaft by means of mating axial serrations. The position of the yoke can be adjusted by varying the position of the sleeves. Only one rotating element is employed whose bearing parts are not subject to wear since only very small rotary angles are necessary, and the rotary force is transmitted from the yoke to such element over the entire length of the control shaft.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1987Date of Patent: November 10, 1987Assignee: Armaturenfabrik Wallisellen AGInventor: Werner Egli
