  • Patent number: 7344004
Abstract: A method of checking elevator installations with a car, an elevator drive and an elevator controller with a memory avoids or at least reduces errors by a person carrying out the check and enables convenient and reliable checking of the elevator installation. A check program including all steps necessary for the check is set up on the basis of stored configuration data of the elevator installation in the elevator controller and in dependence on a selected mode of operation. In addition, the steps are displayed in a predetennined sequence on an indicating and control unit and necessary inputs for working down the steps are input by way of the indicating and control unit.

    Assignee: Inventio AG
    Inventors: Werner Engel, Martin Rogger
  • Patent number: 7172055
Abstract: A method and a device for maintenance of an elevator or escalator installation includes an interface for connection of a controller of the installation with a display and control unit for display of operating parameters or for input of control commands and data, and connection equipment for creating a data connection with a maintenance center. Data and parameters stored in the maintenance center can be transferred to the display and control unit by the data connection after an identification check. A fault log with a specification of operating faults and/or a specification of the replacement parts coming into question for rectification of the operating faults can be produced, which is transferred by the data connection from the display and control unit to the maintenance center, can be produced for example to cause ordering of missing replacement parts.

  • Patent number: 4753379
Abstract: An apparatus for regulating the length of divisional spacings of a metal band comprises at least two workpiece conveying roller pairs spaced from one another in the direction of the workpiece length and arranged for holding and advancing the workpieces in the direction of workpiece length; a scanning device for determining the actual length of the workpieces during the conveyance thereof by the workpiece conveying devices; an evaluating device receiving, from the scanning device, signals representing the actual lengths of the workpieces; and a length correcting device receiving, from the evaluating device, signals representing correctional values and for varying the length of the workpieces at a location between the roller pairs as a function of the correctional values. A heat treatment device heats the running band to a temperature sufficient to maintain the band in a red-hot state at the length-correcting location.

  • Patent number: 4326907
Abstract: Piston rings of asymmetrical cross section are identified by providing a surface marking which extends from one flank face of the piston ring to the outer circumferential face (running face) thereof.

  • Patent number: 4266373
Abstract: An apparatus for deburring a circumferential edge of a workpiece, including a rotary deburring tool having an axis of rotation which is substantially parallel to the tangent belonging to the workpiece edge at a location contacted by the deburring tool.

  • Patent number: 4130246
Abstract: An apparatus for extracting hot die-cast work pieces from a die-casting machine includes a gripping device for gripping newly completed work pieces from the mold halves and a mechanism for moving the gripping device from between the mold halves to a delivery station in such a manner as to reduce the space normally required by other extracting apparatuses. The gripping device moves both axially and pivots about two different axes in moving from its work piece receiving position and its work piece delivery position. A spray head sprays a release agent onto the mold halves while the mold halves are open and is also moved in a space saving manner.

  • Patent number: 4074837
Abstract: An automatically operating casting ladle apparatus for the scooping up and delivery of an exactly measured amount of molten metal to die-casting machines, casting molds, etc., in which an exact positioning of the casting ladle is ensured, on the one hand by control means regulating the depth and the angle of tilt of the ladle in the metal bath on filling, and on the other hand by a compensatory movement to ensure that the point of impact of the stream of molten metal remains fixed at each pouring. The control and drive units are, as far as possible, located outside the radiation range of the crucible, and they are otherwise protected against heat influence by surrounding casings.
