    Abstract: An enclosed electrical device (42) includes an electrical circuit (50) having elements (48-68) which lie substantially in and along a plane (115). A member (70) is applied to a one side and a member (85) is applied to another side of the circuit (50) for at least partially enclosing the same. Conductors (48) and (49) of circuit (50) are fixedly penetrated, preferably by pins (74) which are fixedly engaged to enclosure members (70) and (85). Such engagement is advantageously provided by making the pins (74) an integral part of member (70), for example by including pins (74) in a premolded member (70). Such engagement is also advantageously provided by making pin-engaging sockets (94) an integral part of member (85), also for example by including the sockets (94) in a premolded member (85). By a preferred friction fit of pins (74) and sockets (94), the enclosure members (70) and (85 ) and circuit elements (48-68) are sufficiently fixed relative to one another to resist forces applied thereto in service.

    Abstract: In certain manufacturing operations materials are deposited onto semiconductor wafers. For example, in liquid-phase epitaxial melt deposition, wafers are exposed to a melt having constituents identical to the wafer material. In the past this has been accomplished by individually sliding the wafers into the melt and/or sliding portions of melt onto the wafers. This sliding creates a high amount of friction which in turns generates particles which can contaminate the melt. Also, this friction limits the number of wafers that can be simultaneously processed by sliding techniques. To avoid this a movable melt reservoir 62 is located above stacked stationary wafers 44. Prior to deposition, the melt 68 in the reservoir is separated from the wafers 44 by offsetting an aperture 64 in the bottom of the reservoir 62 from a passageway 58 leading to the wafers 44.

    Abstract: A wafer is mounted upon a substrate and separated into individual chips which are retained on the substrate. The separated wafer and substrate are then placed on a demounting device with a passageway such that the chips on a first portion of the wafer lie over the passageway while chips on a second portion of the wafer do not. When the separated wafer is subsequently subjected to a demounting force, the chips will demount from the substrate with the chips on the first portion falling into a catch bin located in the passageway while chips on the second portion are discarded. Additional demounting devices can be provided within the passageway, if further sorting of the chips on the first portion of the separated wafer is desired.

    Abstract: An anti-burglar sound emitting device is described in which a pressurized fluid is discharged to audibly oscillate a diaphragm to create a warning signal when an intruder opens a window or a door to enter an area unauthorized to the intruder. The anti-burglary device employs a spring biased actuating member for discharging a pressurized container wherein the fluid is discharged through a passageway and diaphragm valving structure. A mechanical trigger for releasably retaining the actuating member in a cocked position and for releasing the actuating member which moves the slideably mounted pressurized container to cause sound is described.

A mechanical trigger for releasably retaining the actuating member in a cocked position and for releasing the actuating member to dispense the fluid, containing a chemical such as tear gas, is described. In addition, a lock mechanism to place the device in a non-triggerable condition is also shown.

A combination for using the device with a door locking bolt and bolt latch plate is also shown.
