Patent number: 4462217Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling the volume of a fluid, e.g., air, moving through a duct system, e.g., a ventilating system for a vehicle, comprising the steps of moving the fluid through an inlet of the duct system under dynamic pressure; conducting the fluid through the duct system by means of propulsion system driven by an electric motor, wherein the electric current drawn by said motor varies with changes in the dynamic pressure; and adjusting the amount of fluid admitted into the duct system in response to the current drawn by the motor and thus, also responsive to the dynamic pressure, this adjusting step thereby maintaining a constant volume of fluid moving through the air duct system. Also disclosed is an apparatus for carrying out this method.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1981Date of Patent: July 31, 1984Assignee: Sueddeutsche Kuehlerfabrik Julius Fr. Behr GmbH & Co. Patent number: 4427858Abstract: The present invention relates to a grounding switch having a fixed switch piece attached to an equipment part to be grounded and a switch piece displacable relative to the fixed switch piece by a drive. The switch pieces partially form a switch-piece overlap in their closed position. It is desirable to arrange such a grounding switch such that, while maintaining its geometrical dimensions, it can switch even large currents such as short-circuit currents without the main contacts being overloaded by the switching arc. By the present invention, the switch pieces are each equipped with at least one main contact and at least one sparking contact surrounded at least partially by the respective main contact. One of the two sparking contacts is arranged as a bush and the other as a pin. The bush includes a follow-up contact or follow-up pin which is movable in the direction of displacement of the displacable switch piece. The follow-up contact is located substantially within the interior of the bush.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1981Date of Patent: January 24, 1984Assignee: BBC Brown, Boveri & Company, LimitedInventors: Werner Fehr, Claes Ohlin, Bruno Schabrun

Patent number: 4299083Abstract: A wrap-winding spinning machine for producing wrapped yarns having draw frames for attenuating slivers, wherein one wrap-winding apparatus is associated with each draw frame is proposed, with the wrap winding apparatus further including a high speed rotor and a yarn channel coaxial with the axis thereof, the rotor associated with a driven hollow spindle and a bobbin supported thereon and a balloon limiter supported on the machine frame by upstanding opposed ribs. The bobbin supports a centrally apertured cap device with the cap device having a continuously curved, convex end face with a sharply curved rim that merges with the end disc of the bobbin. The aperture in the cap device is arranged to receive the feed of the winding thread and the sliver as it passes downwardly into the yarn channel and is emitted as a finished wrapped thread.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 1980Date of Patent: November 10, 1981Assignee: Firma Zinser Textilmaschinen GmbHInventors: Wolfgang Igel, Franz Freibichler, Werner Fehr, Willi Pfeifer

Patent number: 4240580Abstract: A temperature dependent electronic control switch, especially suited for an automatic temperature control in vehicles, including one or more NTC resistors as sensors in a bridge circuit, an amplifier, to amplify the signals from the sensors, a solenoid for producing a variable magnetic field from signals received by the amplifier, an iron strip, an air nozzle connected to a vacuum, a servomotor connected between the air nozzle and the vacuum, and a control flap. The iron strip, moving in response to the magnetic field from the solenoid, obstructs an opening in the air nozzle, thereby changing the pressure felt by the servomotor and thereby causing the control flap of an air-conditioner or heater to move in a predetermined manner to mix air of different temperatures.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1978Date of Patent: December 23, 1980Assignee: Suddeutsche Kuhlerfabrik Julius Fr.
