  • Patent number: 4614044
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for optimizing thermal treatment processes of fabrics, preferably textile fabrics, in tensioning, drying and setting machines. According to the invention, the apparatus for the thermal treatment of fabrics comprises individual sections, to which is conveyed heated air. The air leaves each section via outgoing air slits, which are provided with at least two measuring locations per section. The measuring locations enable determination of the difference of the outgoing air temperature of the sections. After determining the location of the dryness point by comparing the outgoing air temperatures with the predetermined temperature, the measuring point at which there exists no difference, or only a minimal difference, is determined. The characteristic point for reaching the predetermined temperature of the fabric is thus found which, together with the found maximum, determines the adjustability of the speed, the energy supply or the outgoing air temperature.

  • Patent number: 4481763
Abstract: An arrangement of electrodes for monitoring thread breakage on ring spinning machines for a sufficiently strong reception of the electric charge of the running thread for generating a signal that can be further processed, in which an electrode (3) is arranged in the proximity of the moving thread (1) between a stretching mechanism (2) and a thread guide (4), preferably on the thread guide (4) on a displacable or turnable insulated body (5), or such electrode (3) with insulated body (5) is positioned on a balloon constricting ring (6), adjustable through displacement or turning of the insulated body (5) in such a way that the thread (1) is not permanently in front of this electrode (3), this electrode (3) being connected by means of an insulated line to an electronic circuit or directly to an electronic circuit.

  • Patent number: 4420697
Abstract: In a process and apparatus for monitoring thread breaks without touching the thread, the stochastic electrical charge of the moving thread is detected without contact by means of a metallic plane electrode disposed at the textile machine close to the moving thread. The change of potential upon the occurrence of a thread break is amplified in a high input resistence amplifier. The output of the amplifier is connected to the threshold device directly or by a capacitor. A reference potential is connected to the threshold device input, and the threshold device outputs a binary signal for indicating the condition of the thread.
