  • Patent number: 5261939
Abstract: A nitrification-inhibiting agent is described which is characterized in that it comprisesa) dicyandiamide andb) guanylthiourea and/or ammonium thiosulphate and/or ammonium phosphate. This agent is distinguished by an increased activity compared to the individual components and by its low toxicity.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5166432
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the production of cyanamide from urea and/or decomposition products thereof at an elevated temperature with the use of a microporous catalyst, wherein, as catalyst, there is used a zeolite and/or a silicoalumophosphate which is doped with transition metal cations selected from the Group IB and VIIB of the Periodic System. In this way, it is possible to increase the conversion, referred to urea, to 60 to 100%, the selectivity with regard to cyanamide thereby being from about 30 to 50% and with regard to the undesired melamine being .ltoreq.2%.

  • Patent number: 4642249
Abstract: The present invention provides a clear lacquer based on polyvinylidene fluoride which comprises:(a) 30 to 45 wt. % of polyvinylidene fluoride with a K value of 40 to 55,(b) 4 to 15 wt. % of an acrylate resin,(c) 33 to 50 wt. % of latent, high boiling solvent,(d) 3 to 15 wt. % of low boiling solvent,(e) 0.01 to 1.0 wt. % of flowing adjuvant,(f) 0.01 to 0.95 wt. % of light protection agent. The present invention also provides a process for coating metallic surfaces, wherein this clear lacquer is applied to a metal surface and stoved at a temperature of from 250.degree. to 350.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4510282
Abstract: The present invention provides an aqueous dispersion for the production of corrosion- and weather-resistant coatings on work materials, especially on synthetic fibre fabrics, said aqueous dispersion comprising:20 to 50% by weight polyvinylidene fluoride,20 to 50% by weight water,1.5 to 25% by weight of an acrylic co-polymer,1.5 to 5% by weight of a pigment and/or a filling material,0.05 to 0.75% by weight, referred to the polyvinylidene fluoride, of a light-protection agent and4 to 20% by weight of a low boiling alcohol or of a mixture of a low boiling alcohol and of a high boiling solvent. The present invention also provides a process for the production of corrosion- and weather-resistant coatings on work materials, wherein the above dispersion is applied to a work material, followed by heating in.

  • Patent number: 4416925
Abstract: For the coating of plastics with polyvinylidene fluoride, finely divided polyvinylidene fluoride is dispersed in a solvent mixture of(a) at least one high-boiling, organic solvent with a boiling point up to 250.degree. C., which dissolves polyvinylidene fluoride little or not at all, and(b) at least one strongly polar latent organic solvent for polyvinylidene fluoride, the dispersion obtained is dissolved in(c) at least one low-boiling polar organic solvent with a boiling point up to 120.degree. C., the plastic surface is coated with the solution and the latter is baked on at a temperature of 100.degree. to 300.degree. C.A bake-on varnish suitable for the method contains, for example:3 to 25 wt.-% of polyvinylidene fluoride, 5 to 20 wt.-% of at least one high-boiling organic solvent with a boiling point up to 250.degree. C.,1 to 10 wt.-% of at least one strongly polar latent organic solvent for polyvinylidene fluoride and 60 to 90 wt.-% of a low-boiling polar organic solvent with a boiling point up to 120.
