Publication number: 20130094993Abstract: An assembly of a support plate and an exit window foil for use in an electron beam generating device. The support plate is designed to reduce wrinkles in the foil. The foil is bonded to the support plate along a closed bonding line bounding an area in which the support plate is provided with a pattern of apertures and foil support portions alternately. When vacuum is created in the housing the pattern is adapted to form a topographical profile of the foil substantially absorbing any surplus foil. Another aspect involves a method in a filling machine for sterilizing a packaging material web.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2011Publication date: April 18, 2013Applicant: TETRA LAVAL HOLDINGS & FINANCE S.A.Inventors: Ulrika Linné, Werner Haag, Toni Waber, Mattias Henriksson, Kurt Holm, Krister Kristiansson

Publication number: 20110192986Abstract: An electron beam sterilizing device comprises an electron-generating filament, a grid connected to a voltage source, a beam shaper, and an output window. A high voltage source generates a high voltage potential between the electron-generating filament and the output window, for acceleration of electrons. The usability of the device is enhanced in that the electron-generating filament and/or the grid electrode comprises at least two operational portions for variation of the current and form of an output electron beam.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2009Publication date: August 11, 2011Inventors: Kurt Holm, Werner Haag, Dominique Cloetta

Patent number: 7191081Abstract: A method for correcting an oscillator frequency of in particular a digital transmitter/receiver interface for transmitting measurement signals of a sensor to a control unit. The method includes outputting of a first reference frequency signal by the sensor, the first reference frequency signal and comparing it with a second reference frequency signal by the control unit, calculating a correction factor on the basis of the first and second reference frequency signals, and correcting the frequency signals representing actual measured quantities subsequently sent by the sensor and received by the control unit based on the calculated correction factor to obtain corrected frequency signals.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2002Date of Patent: March 13, 2007Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Joerg Brueckner, Manfred Strohrmann, Hans Loistl, Axel-Werner Haag

Patent number: 7185749Abstract: A currency bill recycling machine has an input (3) and output (8, 9) for receiving and dispensing currency bills; a transport system (4); and a detection system (5) to which bills are fed by the transport system from the input (3). The detection system (5) is adapted to determine the denomination, authenticity and fitness of each bill. A recycling store (11–14) and an unfit bill store (15) are provided to which bills are fed by the transport system (4). The detection system (5) is adapted to cause genuine fit bills to be fed to the recycling store (11–14), and to cause unfit bills to be fed to the unfit bill store (15), the transport system being operable to withdraw bills from the recycling store for dispensing via the output (8, 9).Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2003Date of Patent: March 6, 2007Assignee: De La Rue International Ltd.Inventors: Pietro Armanini, Werner Haag

Patent number: 7096723Abstract: Methods and/or devices for detecting the flow rate of a flowing medium, in particular the flow rate of a flowing air mass, are described, in which the flowing medium is detected with two evaluation methods that operate according to different principles and the two measurement signals obtained are set in relation to each other in order to determine correction methods. Since the two measurement methods react differently to interference effects, the comparison of the two output signals permits conclusions to be drawn as to the type and the order of magnitude of the interference effects and a corrected measurement signal can be obtained, which is independent of the interference effects.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2001Date of Patent: August 29, 2006Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Wolfgang Kienzle, Hans Hecht, Manfred Strohrmann, Wolfgang-Michael Mueller, Axel-Werner Haag, Uwe Konzelmann, Anke Fleischer, legal representative, Marie-Luise Beck, legal representative, Hildegard Nelson, legal representative, Guido Kleinhans, legal representative, Dieter Tank, deceased, Josef Kleinhans, deceased

Patent number: 5723784Abstract: The invention proposes a device for measuring the mass of a flowing medium, in particular the mass of air aspirated by internal combustion engines. The device has a platelike sensor element which is accommodated in a recess of a sensor carrier, and which with a sensor region that has at least one measuring resistor is exposed to the flowing medium in order to measure its mass. The sensor element is accommodated essentially flush in the recess and is retained in the recess by being glued to a bottom face in the recess. The bottom face of the recess of the sensor carrier has a troughlike indentation, which extends at least partially along the circumference of the sensor element outside the sensor region that has the at least one measuring resistor. The device according to the invention is intended to measure the mass of a flowing medium, in particular for measuring the mass of air aspirated by internal combustion engines.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1996Date of Patent: March 3, 1998Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Manfred Lembke, Josef Kleinhans, Hans Hecht, Helmut Bassler, Gerhard Hueftle, Alexander Kromer, Kurt Weiblen, Stefan Lehenberger, Guenther Frick, Klaus Reymann, Axel-Werner Haag, Dieter Tank, Uwe Konzelmann, Waldemar Guenther, Henninge Marberg

Patent number: 5704110Abstract: A device for crimping a plastically deforming metal pole shoe (1) around the end (2) of a cable that has been inserted into it. The device comprises an anvil (3), a die (4), a sensor (5), and a comparator (6). The shoe is placed on the anvil and the die is advanced toward it, deforming the shoe. The sensor emits a signal once the shoe has been deformed to the maximum, and the comparator compares the signal with a reference and emits either an "accept" signal or a "reject" signal. The "reject" signal emitted by the comparator actuates a cable-end trimmer that cuts part-way or all the way through the cable. Consequently, the device will always either acceptably crimp pole shoes to the ends of cables or reliably indicate defective connections.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1996Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Carl FreudenbergInventors: Anton Erhard, Werner Haag

Patent number: 4993299Abstract: A vertical gang saw produces an ovoidal sawing curve when the frame has at each corner attached feet that are engaged in slide bars which themselves are attached by an extremity to the body of the machine. The lower and upper slide bars undergo a synchronized swing movement that is transmitted by small drive rods. The lower drive rods are driven by an eccentric gear moved vertically. The upper drive rods are driven by an oscillating pinion with a double cam.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1989Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Charles P.
