Abstract: The invention relates to a method of controlling a pixel-oriented display device (5), for a railway control system (10), whereby a representation (AB), of a traffic situation on a railway track installation, is represented on a screen (12) of the display device (5), in such a way that an observer of the screen (12) may recognise the situation and take control measures to influence said situation. The aim of the invention is to carry out such a method particularly cost-effectively, whilst maintaining a high safety standard.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for displaying an image (AB) of a traffic situation of a rail track system on a display (12) of a pixel-oriented visual display unit (5) of a rail traffic control system (10), said display unit being controlled by means of a control device. According to the inventive method, the traffic situation is represented in such a manner that a viewer of the display (12) can recognize the traffic situation and can take control measures for influencing it. The aim of the invention is to provide a method which can be carried out at low costs while having a high safety standard. To this end, a visual display unit (5) is used as the visual display unit and has an internal matrix-oriented display memory (15) in which the image data required for the representation of the image (AB) are stored. The image is represented on the display against an image background whose brightness or color is adjusted according to the presence or absence of a control signal.

Abstract: A release mechanism is provided for the viewfinder mirror, which is held in the viewfinder position, of a single-lens mirror reflex camera having a photoelectrically controlled lens diaphragm. A locking device in the release mechanism, which device interrupts the closing of the lens diaphragm, comprises a detent tooth (31) which keeps the viewfinder mirror (27) in the viewfinder position against the action of the swivel spring (30). The tooth (31) can be brought out of engagement with the swivelling lever (10) of the viewfinder mirror (27) upon the electromagnetic release of the locking device for the interruption of the closing of the lens diaphragm.This achieves a release of the viewfinder mirror, and thus the initiation of the exposure operation, to be effected approximately simultaneously with the photoelectrically controlled interruption of the closing of the diaphragm.

Abstract: A flash switching arrangement for a camera which includes a shutter with an opening leaf and a closing leaf and has a contact nipple and a contact shoe for the attachment of flash units. The switching arrangement includes first and second switching means electrically connected between the first contact shoe and the contact nipple respectively. First coupling means are connectible between the first and second switching means and the opening leaf of the shutter. Second coupling means are connectible between the first and second switching means and the closing leaf of the shutter. On actuation of the shutter, the opening leaf effects closure of both the first and second switching means to ignite the flash unit and after exposure, the closing leaf effects opening of both the first and second switching means.

Abstract: The exposure measuring system for single-lens reflex cameras, in which system the light passing through the objective lens is conveyed to the view finder eyepiece via a view finder reflex mirror, is provided with an additional mirror in the optical path of the camera, which additional mirror is partly translucent. A photo electric cell is pivotally mounted in order to be movable by linkage coupled with the reflex-mirror so that in one position during image viewing the cell receives light from the reflex mirror for light measurement and in another position during film exposure the cell receives light from the additional mirror for controlling exposure time.

Abstract: The camera is for use with film cartridges and is provided with an internal support member within the camera housing which has a film engagement surface thereon. Side walls of a guide channel extend from the support member substantially beyond the plane of the film engagement surface. When the cartridge is fitted in the camera the cartridge web is located in the guide channel together with the film and the film engagement surface presses against the film to bring this into contact with a film conveying surface on said cartridge.

Abstract: The film cassette comprises a storage and take-up chambers interconnected by a crosspiece. The crosspiece has a transport surface, which faces the camera lens when located in the camera, over which the film is guided and against which the film is pressed by an engagement surface of the camera film gate. The crosspiece is provided with a slot extending in the direction of film transport, the slot passes through the crosspiece, the length of the slot is at least equal to the distance between two successive transport holes in the film.

Abstract: A photographic camera having a mirror gearing and an electric motor for shutter cocking and film winding, in which the current connection for the electric motor situated in the camera housing is controlled alternately by the shutter and film winding.The camera includes a manual release mechanism and a remote release mechanism. A detent disc is mounted on a shaft and driven by the electric motor. A release lever is also mounted on the shaft. A first blocking lever is provided for inhibiting the movement of the release lever and is connectable both with the manual release and the remote release. A second blocking lever also inhibits the movement of the release lever. A detent lever with a nose thereon engages the detent disc and is connected through a joint with the second blocking lever. An actuator lever is provided for releasing the detent lever from the detent disc and is blockable by a blocking pawl coupled with the mirror gearing. A dog is driven by the motor for tensioning the actuator lever.

Abstract: The film cassette for photographic cassette cameras comprises supply and take-up chambers interconnected by a web having front and rear walls. The rear wall has a film presser surface and the front wall is provided with an exposure window defined by side walls. Fitting elevations are provided on the side walls of the exposure window extending parallel with the film transport direction. The fitting elevations commence in the plane of the film pressure surface and extend out beyond the plane which the front of the film occupies when in the pressed position against the presser surface. Guide surfaces are provided on said fitting elevations which face the longitudinal edges of the film, said surfaces lying in one common plane together with the longitudinal edges of the film. On insertion of the cassette into the camera the guide surfaces on the fitting elevations engage both the surfaces of the film and the sides of thefilm trap located in the camera.
