Fastening projections are arranged on the first and second sides of the base member and secure the insulating body in receptacles of the profiled section elements. At least the first side has two of the fastening projections. The base member has a hollow chamber with an inner guiding contour for receiving and guiding fitting parts. A multi-shell construction element with at least two profiled section elements is provided with at least one such insulating body.
