Abstract: A device for packaging preferably two-dimensional products is designed for forming a bag-like tube by way of a longitudinal connection device, from a web of packaging material. The bag-like tube, with respect to a conveying direction of the packaging material, is open in a region in front of the longitudinal connection device and is closed in the region after the longitudinal connection device. The device includes a suction device which leads into the still open bag-like tube, and in the closed region includes a suction opening, through which gas can be sucked out of the region after the longitudinal connection device, out of the bag-like tube and through the suction device.

The rotary lift table as claimed in the invention is equipped with a rotary lift table board for bearing flat objects, said rotary lift table board having a bearing surface which is pulvinated towards the top with a transverse ridge region whose longitudinal extension runs at least approximately at a right angle to a discharge direction. The flat objects lying on top of one another in a stack arrangement are adapted to the arched bearing surface and give the stack improved stability thanks to its profiling.

Abstract: Sample bags are produced from webs of film material by forming longitudinal seams and longitudinally spaced transverse seams and by filling the bags with a sample product between forming the transverse seams. In order to make the bags easier to handle, the longitudinal seams are thickened so that the thickness of the seams is equal to the thickness of the center of the bag. Thickening is done by rolling or folding the seams or by adding frames or strips of additional material either between or outside the seam or interior portions of the webs. The resulting bags are more easily stacked, handled and inserted into publications for distribution.
