  • Patent number: 9567499
Abstract: The invention relates to a crosslinking two-component polyurethane composition consisting of (i) a constituent A containing polyols and additives, and (ii) a constituent B containing between 100 and 65 wt. % of aromatic polyisocyanates, between 0 and 35 wt. % of aliphatic polyisocyanates, and between 0.05 and 3.0 wt. % of a retarder, and optionally additives, the mixed composition having a viscosity (EN ISO 2555) of between 100 mPas and 3000 mPas at 25° C., and the crosslinked composition having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of higher than 50° C. and a pot life of longer than 60 minutes. The two-component polyurethane composition is suitable as an adhesive and as a matrix substance for composite materials.

  • Patent number: 7977445
Abstract: Aqueous, storage-stable emulsions of ?-silyl terminated polymers are useful as adhesives, sealing compounds and coating materials. The ?-silyl terminated polymers correspond to the general formula (I): in which R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkoxy group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 independently of one another are linear or branched alkyl groups containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R4 and R6 independently of one another are divalent organic connecting groups, R5 is a hydrophobic divalent polymer group; and R7 is a CH2SiR1(OR2)(OR3) group, in which R1, R2 and R3 have the above meaning or R7 stands for a group that lends the polymer of the general formula (I) the property of self-emulsification in water by forming an oil in water emulsion.

  • Patent number: 5821360
Abstract: A process for producing polycarboxylic acids or their salts from polysaccharides is provided. Solid particulate polysaccharides having at least one primary alcohol group in the polysaccharides are oxidized with nitrogen dioxide in a fluid bed. The fluidizing gas contains nitrogen dioxide and the process is operated at a pressure of from 0.5 to 12 bars and a temperature between the boiling point of nitrogen dioxide and 160.degree. C. At least two moles of nitrogen dioxide for the equivalent of the primary alcohol groups reacted over the entire reaction are provided.
