  • Patent number: 7324070
Abstract: A monitoring device, process and system use an image recording device for recording an image falling on the eyes of the user of the device. The monitoring device includes a display and a signal processor with which at least the image signals recorded by the image recording device can be evaluated. An input medium and a storage medium are used for storing and retrieving information about the topology of the building. An instantaneous position of the user of the device is determined by evaluating the image signals sent by the image recording device by pattern recognition.

  • Patent number: 6415786
Abstract: A container for the gastight sealing of a respirator. The container has two container shells (1, 2) abutting on front surfaces with a circumferential sealing element. The container second container shell (2) is provided with a handle (3) mounted at two opposite points of rotation (6). The handle (3) has a lever arm (5), which engages in the first container shell (1) in the closed position of the container. In the closed position of the container, the handle (3) preferably engages in an additional bracket (4) that is detachably connected to the first container shell (1).

  • Patent number: 5765549
Abstract: A respirator to be worn in front of the chest with regeneration of the breathing air, containing a regenerating cartridge with a plurality of chemical layers, a breathing bag, a connection piece on the side of the breathing bag located opposite the regenerating cartridge, a breathing hose pointing from the connection piece to the user, and an oxygen-releasing starting device at the regenerating cartridge. The supply of oxygen into the breathing bag and the wear properties are improved by the breathing bag being designed as a bag lying flat on the regenerating cartridge and having a ring-shaped hose part, which can be laid around the neck of the user. This provides a neck opening formed within the breathing bag. An opening is provided in the chemical layer located opposite the breathing bag. A starting device is accommodated in this opening such that it is in flow connection with a collector chamber opening into the breathing bag.

  • Patent number: 5301665
Abstract: A respirator for emergency oxygen supply for passengers in aircraft, with a mounting container (1), which can be closed with a lid (2), is fastened above the row of seats, and accommodates at least one breathing mask and an exothermic chemical oxygen generator (3) connected to the breathing mask in a holder (4, 5). The pivotability of the lid of the mounting container is improved by rigidly arranging the holder on the mounting container (1) such that it permits the oxygen generator (3) to change its place by pivoting in the case of use.

  • Patent number: 5243969
Abstract: An air-cleaning cartridge for treating respiration air with a chemical as a packing, whose housing wall consists at least partially of an expandable, elastic material, is to be improved such that the size can be increased in a controlled manner prior to filling with the chemical, in order to achieve a reproducible contracting force of the expanded housing and in order to prolong the ready-to-use storage time of the cartridge. To achieve this, a pressure connection 7, through which a compressed gas can be introduced into the housing designed as a film bag 1, 1' in order to expand it to a predetermined volume, can be connected to one of the connections 2. The chemical 5 is filled from the filling chamber 3 into the pressurized, expanded film bag 1. After releasing the internal pressure into the atmosphere, the film bag tightly surrounds the packing introduced on all sides (Figure).

  • Patent number: 5038767
Abstract: A device for processing respiration gas with a filling of an oxygen-releasing chemical in a cartridge that can be received in a housing to which the respiration gas connection can be connected. The filling can be accommodated in a simple, inexpensive cartridge without having to give up protection from water vapor, as a result of which an inexpensive consumable part is to be obtained. To achieve this, the cartridge 1 is closed off with at least one bottom 8 that can be pushed into the inside of the cartridge and has openings 7 in it and is surrounded with a foil 10 that is impermeable to water vapor in a vacuum-tight manner (FIG. 1).
