  • Patent number: 4564642
Abstract: A process for the production of unsaturated hydrocarbons by the catalytic hydrogenation of carbon monoxide is disclosed wherein the reaction takes place in the presence of a catalyst containing an oxide of a first metal selected from the transition metals of Group IV and a second metal selected from Group VIII of the periodic table. The reaction takes place at a reaction temperature of between about 250.degree. C. and 350.degree. C. and a reaction pressure of between about 10 and 30 bar.

  • Patent number: 4455395
Abstract: In a process for the production of unsaturated hydrocarbons comprising catalytic conversion of a feed gas comprising carbon oxides and hydrogen, the improvement which comprises carrying out said conversion at a temperature of 250.degree. to 350.degree. C. and under a pressure of 10 to 30 bars, said catalyst comprising at least one difficultly reducible oxide of the transition metals of Groups V and/or VII of the Periodic Table combined with at least one metal of Group 8 of the Periodic Table.

  • Patent number: 4158588
Abstract: This invention relates to novel quaternary copolymers and their preparation. The quaternary copolymers consist of 70-90 parts ethylene, 0.5-15 parts of an alkyl ester (wherein said alkyl group contains up to 8 carbon atoms) of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid having 3-6 carbon atoms or a vinyl ester of a saturated monocarboxylic acid having up to 3 carbon atoms, 0.5-10 parts of an amide of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid having 3-6 carbon atoms, and 0.15 parts of a vinyl ether having up to 10 carbon atoms; the sum of the parts totalling 100.

  • Patent number: 4032692
Abstract: A process is described for bonding or coating materials which comprises applying a molten olefin copolymer to a substrate. The copolymer is a terpolymer comprising about 70-90 parts by weight of ethylene, about 0.5-10 parts by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid amide, and about 0.5 to 20 parts by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid ester. The sum of the above parts by weight is equal to about 100.
