Abstract: Methods for flocculating solid particles in a provided suspension including specifying a target charge density of the suspension at which the solid particles flocculate; providing a flocculant having a charge density; determining, at a plurality of measuring times, the suspension charge density present in the suspension in the course of a titrimetric analysis, measuring the flow potential; determining, at respective of the measuring times, a quantity of the flocculant needing to be added to ensure optimal flocculation based on the target charge density, the flocculant charge density, and the suspension charge density present at the respective measuring time; and subsequently adding the determined quantity of flocculant into the suspension; and systems therefor. The methods and systems can provide the actual demand of flocculant needed for efficient flocculation in a continuous flocculation method of a suspension.

Abstract: A telephone device for transmission of optical signals comprising two optically conductive bodies movably layered and flexibly arranged on top of one another as to form a bus system, such that an optical signal input at one interface can be coupled at any other interface regardless of the position thereof. Accordingly, a faultless transmission of optical signals is assured to a great extent. Furthermore, since components of a telephone set using this flexible bus systems are no loner in electrical contact, the wear problems associated with electrical contacts are eliminated.

Abstract: A liquid level indicator for an oil-filled transformer, power choke or tap changer in which a sensor part has a float which rises and falls with the oil level and rotates a sensor shaft and the sensor shaft is coupled to an indicator shaft on which a pointer is provided to cooperate with a dial. The gauge also includes a contactless angle encoder operating with a magnetic hub and coupled to the indicator shaft for outputting a signal representing the oil level.

Abstract: An air demoisturizer for an oil expansion vessel of an electrical power unit like an oil-filled transformer, tap changer or choke, has a heating element in the body of absorbent and utilizes a heat-regeneratable absorbent which is cut off by a moisture detector from the oil expansion vessel when the absorbent is saturated and is thermally regenerated. The demoisturizing column is provided in line with an oil receiver through which the dry air is passed before reaching the oil expansion vessel.
