  • Patent number: 7183269
Abstract: According to the invention, compositions are made available which have a strong cytotoxic effect which is largely selective on tumor tissue. The invention is based on the fact that certain benzoic acid derivatives have a strong synergistic effect as a mixture and destroy cancer cells selectively in a pH range of 7 or below, such as from 6.5 to 7.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2003
Date of Patent: February 27, 2007
    Inventor: Werner Kreutz
  • Publication number: 20060293390
Abstract: The invention is directed to the use of Diflunisal for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of cancer, wherein the medicament is adapted for administration so that a molecular ratio of 4:1 to 6:1 of interstitial Diflunisal to interstitial albumin is provided.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 18, 2004

  • Patent number: 5985927
Abstract: Medicinal products for the selective control of tumor tissue and a method for control of such tumor tissue by administration of such product to a host. The products comprise: (a) two different compounds having a pH below 7 when the compounds are present in a protonated form, such compounds having the formula set forth below and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable inert medicinal product carrier. The compounds have the following ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a moiety which completes an ester group or an ether group, R.sub.2 is independently selected from the group consisting of an amino group, hydroxyl, an ester group, an ether group and a halogen, and n is an integer of 1 to 4.

  • Patent number: 4149109
Abstract: A location- or positionally-sensitive proportional counter tube of high resolution having a trough-shaped cathode in a counting chamber. A resiliently elastic wire forming the anode extends longitudinally through the counting chamber. Suitable fastening arrangements engage the ends of the wire so as to mount the wire equidistantly from the side walls of the cathode trough and in electrical communication with the input resistor of a preamplifier. The counting chamber is an openable high-pressure chamber with inlet and outlet apertures for a pressurized counter tube gas.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 27, 1977
Date of Patent: April 10, 1979

  • Patent number: 4129782
Abstract: A curved location- or positionally-sensitive proportional counter tube having a trough-shaped cathode in a counting chamber. A curved resiliently elastic wire forming the anode extends longitudinally through the curved counting chamber in conformance with the curvature of the latter. Suitable fastening arrangements engage the ends of the wire so as to mount the wire in asymmetrical relationship to a counter tube window and equidistantly from the side walls of the cathode trough.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1977
Date of Patent: December 12, 1978
    Assignee: M. Braun GmbH
