Abstract: The invention relates to a process for working additives into polymers, in which a mixture of thermoplastics with additives is heated to a temperature sufficient for the melting process, with the possible introduction of an expanding agent into the melt in which the expanding agent is homogenized, the melt being cooled if necessary to a temperature at which it can be extruded in the form of a foam plastic, the additives being adsorbed on a polymer flocculent matrix having a sufficient specific area, due to having a density of up to 0.6 g/cm.sup.3 and 15 to 99% of open foam cells and being of the same or different polymer composition as the basic polymer.

Abstract: An unsupported leather or textile substitute in the form of a cellular porous unsupported sheets having:A. a thickness of 1 to 3 mm;B. a density of 0.25 to 0.60 g/cm.sup.3 ;C. an average cell diameter size of 60 to 200 microns;D. a tensile strength between 10 and 60 kg/cm.sup.2 ;E. a tear propagation strength between 4 and 10 kg/cm;F. a flexibility of 10 to 100 g . cmG. a water vapor permeability of 20 to 200 mg/1000 mm.sup.2.day;H. a scratch resistance with 0.8 kg load of at least 40 strokes.

Abstract: A textile floor covering consisting of a textile layer, to the carrier layer of which the pile has been applied, and a bottom of thermoplastic foam, wherein the textile layer is directly connected with a thermoplastic foamed sheeting of polymerizates as a bottom, the polymerizates being selected from a group consisting of ethylene polymerizate, ethylene vinylacetate copolymerizate, and a mixture of ethylene polymerizate and ethylene vinylacetate copolymerizate, the foamed sheeting having a thickness of between 1.5 and 10 mm and a density of 0.10 to 0.40 g/cm.sup.3, preferably from 0.15 to 0.20 g/cm.sup.3.A method for producing a textile floor covering consisting of a textile layer, to the carrier layer of which the pile has been applied, and a bottom of thermoplastic foam, wherein the textile layer is applied directly to a foamed sheeting of polymerizates, as defined above, by means of thermolaminating, welding, sewing or stitch-bonding.
