Abstract: A filter module (1) for disposable use with a closed and at least partially flexible, preferably expandable casing (3) as filter housing (2), a non-filtrate space (9) within the closed casing (3) and at least one first opening (10) through the casing (3) to the non-filtrate space (9), at least one second opening (8) for conducting the filtrate away through the casing (3) and one or more disc-like filtering elements (14) which are accommodated in the casing (3) and the interior of which is connected to the second opening (8), wherein a negative pressure in relation to the normal atmosphere of the surroundings prevails within the casing (3).

Abstract: The invention relates to a crossflow filter membrane comprising an active layer whose size is equal to or greater that 1 mm. Said crossflow filter membrane makes it possible to simultaneously carry out a crossflow filtration along a surface and a deep-bed filtration in the membrane depth. A connecting element for connecting module pads, a method for producing said connecting element and a crossflow filtering module are also disclosed. The connecting element supported by a filter pad surface on the side of unfiltered fluid closes an unfiltered fluid area for preventing a filtrate flowing and is provided with at least one closure element positively connectable to at least one other connecting element.

Abstract: The performance of a precoat cartridge filter is increased considerably, compared with conventional precoat filter cartridges, by reducing the outer diameter of the precoat filter cartridge. The cross-sectional area of the internal space defined by the precoat filter cartridges is reduced as compared with the cross-sectional area of the unfiltrate space. As a result, phase mixing at a phase change is likewise reduced.

Abstract: A magnetic dispersion which can be applied to a non-magnetic base to produce a recording medium is prepared by dispersing a magnetically anisotropic material in a polymer binder and in an organic solvent by a method wherein the magnetically anisotropic material is worked in a jet mill before and/or during dispersing.
