  • Patent number: 5452517
Abstract: A multi color wire marker comprises a base, a slideway, a carriage housing to which are mounted rollers for respectively feeding and gathering hot foil colored tape, a main ram housing and an anvil against which a wire to be marked is supported. A plurality of rollers carrying different colored tapes are mounted on the carriage housing whereby anyone of the colored tapes can be chosen to mark the wire by indexably moving the carriage housing until the appropriate tape is lying between the ram and the anvil. The ram which is heated to an adjustable temperature is then pressed against the tape which presses the wire against the anvil, the heat and pressure making colored products mounted on the tape melt off and color mark the wire.

  • Patent number: 4626055
Abstract: The interface between a pair of mateable electrical connector housings (1) is sealed by means of an apertured resilient gasket (14) which is urged into tapered grooves (10) surrounding cavities (3) in one housing (1) by ribs (13) surrounding associated cavities (3) in the other housing (1), the gasket (14) being compressed between the ribs (13) and groove (14) walls while also being stretched about the ends of the ribs (13).

  • Patent number: 4586773
Abstract: One of housing parts (1and 2) has ramps (15), which are engaged by projections (18) on latch arms (16) on the other housing part (2) to secure the housing parts (1 and 2) in mating relationship and thereby providing a force which assists the mating of the housing parts (1 and 2). In order to allow the arms (16) to be released from the ramps (15) by displacing only one of the arms (16), are ganged through a torsion spring (12) so that by depressing one arm (16) towards the mated housing parts (1 and 2), or by pulling the other arm (16) away from the mated housing parts (1 and 2), both of the arms (16) can be released from engagement with their associated ramps (15) simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 4447102
Abstract: A two-part electrical connector assembly (11, 12) has a channel-shaped latching arm (26) mounted with its limbs (27) straddling one connector (11) and slidable in a slot (25) between walls (16, 33) of the connectors (11, 12). Ends of the limbs (27) are formed with apertures (31) adapted to engage resilient detents (35) on the other connector (12) when the latching member (26) is retracted about the connector (11) to latch the connectors together. The limbs (27) having slots (28) engaging projections (23) on the one connector (11) to permit movement of the latching member (26) from the retracted latching condition to an extended position, remote from the detents (35) where it serves as a handle for manual disengagement of the connectors (11, 12).
