  • Publication number: 20090042435
Abstract: A connector assembly has a cable having at least one wire and a sheath surrounding the wire, a contact holder having a front end, a contact fixed in the holder, exposed at the front end, and connected to the wire with the wire is free of the sheath for a short distance from a rear end of the holder, a plastic body molded to the holder to an end of the cable sheath adjacent the holder and over the wire exposed between the sheath and the holder rear end, and an inlay only partially imbedded in the body in a non-detachable and visible manner.

  • Patent number: 6086506
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a continuously variable transmission with an electrohydraulic control, a selector device, and a controllable engaging clutch of a motor vehicle, especially one powered by an internal combustion engine, with a control device in a first operating mode automatically selecting and adjusting a gear ratio for the transmission from signals of the selector device and the operating parameters of the motor vehicle such as the throttle angle, driving speed and engine rpm, by means of curves selectable by the driver. It is proposed, in a second operating mode, to simulate a multi-step transmission influenceable directly by the driver. In order to permit use of this operating mode, only a few preset gear ratios are made available to the driver.

  • Patent number: 5514046
Abstract: A method for controlling an electro-hydraulically operated infinitely variable transmission of a motor vehicle which is driven, in particular, by an internal-combustion engine, provides a control of the infinitely variable transmission according to several characteristic control curves. The characteristic control curves are selected corresponding to a driving activity which evaluates the driver's driving style or his action with respect to the control of the motor vehicle caused by a traffic situation. The characteristic control curves cover, at least in steps, the range between a characteristic control curve permitting the consumption-optimized operation of the motor vehicle and a characteristic control curve which permits the power-optimizing operation of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5433677
Abstract: An rpm-changing engaging device of a motor vehicle is controlled during an engaging process in such fashion that a curve is selected according to which the rpm difference based on the input rpm of the engaging device is adjusted between the input rpm of the engaging device and its output rpm by the engaging device indirectly or directly, corresponding to the value, determined prior to the engaging process or before the stopping of the motor vehicle, of a driving activity. A precondition is that the rpm difference, based on the input rpm of the engaging device and its output rpm. The curve is selected from a family of several engaging devices.

  • Patent number: 5323739
Abstract: For adjusting the relative rotating position of a camshaft of a reciprocating engine with respect to a second camshaft, a tensioning arrangement of the chain which winds around both camshafts is displaced transversely to the chain. The tensioning arrangement includes two hydraulic pistons which can be moved in mutually opposite directions, are braced with respect to one another by a helical spring and, for the adjusting, can be alternately acted upon by hydraulic pressure. The adjusting force acting upon the hydraulic pistons counteracts the spring force applied to the hydraulic pistons.

  • Patent number: 5122635
Abstract: The invention relates to a CW-Nd:YAG Laser soldering system for SMD-components by means of which the soldering may be shortened by the simultaneous feeding of solder, multiple radiation, ER-absorber, flux or reaction gas, and an optimizing of the Z-adjustment of the laser spot or spots and the laser power per soldering point can be controlled. Embodiments are explained and are illustrated schematically in the figures of the drawing.

  • Patent number: 4718720
Abstract: There is disclosed a cushion seat comprised of a cushioned portion of a predetermined height and width, a rigid base member, an elongated inverted U-shaped impact member mounted on the rigid base member and longitudinally extending along an upper edge portion of the cushioned portion wherein the cushioned portion, the base member and impact member are enclosed by a cover member thereby forming a cushioned seat having impact absorbing qualities.
