An edge region of the sound-absorbing component (10, 11) be extrusion-coated with the plastic of the channel body (2) in such a way that the sound-absorbing component (10, 11) is connected in a form-fitting way to the channel body (2) along at least a section of its circumference.

In order to be able to manufacture such an air conduction element cost-effectively with equal or even improved acoustic effectiveness, it is suggested that an edge region of the sound-absorbing component (10, 11) be extrusion-coated with the plastic of the channel body (2) in such a way that the sound-absorbing component (10, 11) is connected in a form-fitting way to the channel body (2) along at least a section of its circumference.
