Abstract: In a chain with chain links of round material, the chain links have, in the region of their contact points, supporting arcs (7,8) with a supporting arc angle .alpha. of 180.degree. and a radius of curvature R.sub.s of 0.5 to 0.52 d, d being the diameter of the round material. On the side of the unwelded leg (3) of the chain link, the supporting arcs (7,8) are connected by a boundary line (9) of the clear inner space (6) of the chain link, which boundary line has an arcuate indentation (11), while the supporting arcs on the side of the welded leg (4) of the chain link are connected by a substantially straight boundary line. The greatest inner width b.sub.1max of the chain link is at most equal to 1.15 times the diameter d of the round material.

Abstract: In an arrangement for fastening a structural part (1) to a round steel chain by means of two webs (3,6) which overlap the long sides (19,20) of a chain link (9) and bridge the gap between said long sides (19,20) a centering member (5) is used which centering member is provided with a bore (12) and parallel side faces (10,11) having a spacing from one another which is approximately equal to the width of the gap between the long sides (19,20) of the chain link (9) partially overlapped by the webs (3,6). At least one web (3) being provided with a guide (4) which holds the centering member (5) in a prescribed position.

Abstract: For fixing conveyor elements (7) to the chain strands (5, 6) in a chain conveyor having two chain strands (5, 6) running over sprockets (1, 3), pairs of projections (9, 10) are used which grip one chain link in each case and which each have an arcuate outline on one side and are pivotably mounted on the conveyor element (7).

Abstract: A tire chain with a plurality of vertical links connected to each other by means of connecting elements, each comprising an essentially double-T-shaped basic body provided with at least one projection between its cross-bars, which projection is offset by 90.degree. to the cross-bars and projecting into the inner space of at least one vertical link hingedly connected by the connecting element with at least two further vertical links, the links connected together all surrounding the longitudinal bar of the basic body with their U-shaped bow portions.

Abstract: The invention relates to an equalizing head for a chain sling comprising a connecting member for a hanger to suspend the head from a hoist hook or the like, and additional connecting members for the several falls of chain of the sling, whereby the connecting member for the hanger is a clevis type shackle of round section steel, having shanks inserted into at least one hole provided in the equalizing head for their reception and being detachably held therein by locking element.

Abstract: The invention relates to a series of matched sets of parts for a chain system, each set including a chain link of round-section bar, a connecting member and a lockable retainer pin for retaining the link in engagement in a slot in the connecting member. The invention provides that in order to ensure that links and connecting members which are incompatible in strength cannot be joined together, the bar diameters of the chain links, the widths of the slots in the connecting members, the internal widths of the links and the diameters of the retaining pins are varied stepwise from size to size from one matched set to the next in the series.
