  • Patent number: 5625343
Abstract: In devices for determining and/or monitoring a predetermined level with a sensor that is excited to perform mechanical oscillations at its self-resonant frequency by means of an electronic excitation circuit which is excited via a piezoelectric excitation and a reception transducer and an evaluation circuit for triggering display and/or switching processes, there exists the difficulty that the natural frequencies of the sensors are different due to the manufacturing conditions, and that the operating frequency must be adjusted individually for each sensor. This disadvantage makes repair and maintenance procedures quite difficult.

  • Patent number: 5440455
Abstract: The innovation pertains to a device for fastening the housing of a data sensing element which encloses electronic circuits and connecting elements. Data sensing elements of this type are fastened in the wall which encloses the medium to be measured by means of a screw insert. Depending on their function, these data sensing elements may assume a position in which the connection of the connecting lines leading to a control room which is situated at a distance from the measuring point is only possible with great difficulties. This is the reason why the housing should be adjustable axially symmetrically relative to the screw insert. According to the solution suggested, the separable connection between the housing and the screw insert is formed by only one easily accessible screw which penetrates through a clamping disk and by projections which penetrate into a groove of the screw insert.

  • Patent number: 4886938
Abstract: Illustrated and described is an arrangement for leading a cable into a housing, preferably a cylindrical housing, for electrical or electronic devices. The housing is provided with a cylindrical housing part made detachably for connection of the connection cable. The housing part is divided into two parts, the lead-in sleeve 4 and a cap 3 covering the electrical connection elements. The cap 3 is connected by means of a connection part 10 to the housing 2 in the interior of which the electronic components are accommodated. The cap 3 is supported by axial portions of the connection part 10 and withdrawable from the latter in axial direction. The arresting is done by means of a spring element 21 which engages into a groove 22 of the connection part 10. Further grooves 26 which are arranged at the periphery of the inner wall 19 of the cap 3 and into which a right parallelepipedic protrusion 27 engages prevent turning of the cap 3 with respect to the housing 2.

  • Patent number: 4245188
Abstract: A capacitive measured value transducer for ascertaining the level of filling in a container. A probe electrode is combined with a circuit board carrying the associated electronic circuit into a unit which is suspended in the container on a cable provided with an external insulating cover. The circuit board is accommodated in a metal tube which is connected at one end to a hollow insulating member which, at the end remote from the metal tube, carries the probe electrode which is connected, by means of a wire extending through the hollow interior of the insulating member, to the circuit board which, in its turn, is connected at the opposite end of the metal tube to the conductors of the cable. The rigid unit consisting of the probe electrode, the insulating member and the metal tube together with the end section of the cable is covered by a continuous homogeneous sheathing of insulating material.

  • Patent number: 4242744
Abstract: Apparatus for fixing a sonic or ultrasonic transducer to a container. The transducer is arranged axially displaceable in the recess in a holder. A spring is mounted in the recess, which attempts to urge the transducer outwards. On both sides of the transducer, the holder is connected to a clamping strip for passing around the periphery of the container. At least one of the two connections between the holder and the clamping strip is formed by a clamping device for tightening the clamping strip. The clamping device includes a spring determining the clamping force of the clamping strip.

  • Patent number: 4025846
Abstract: A capacitive sensor for detecting variations of an electric field surrounding the sensor and produced by an electronic circuit connected to it, resulting when the probe is approached or covered by a solid or fluid medium. A pot-shaped, metallic sensor electrode is fitted within a hollow, closed body member of insulating material. A thin conductor is connected to the electrode and extends longitudinally through the body member, the space between the conductor and the interior walls of the body member being filled by air.
