  • Publication number: 20070044433
Abstract: A machine for filling and sealing two-part capsules (C), in particular hard gelatin capsules, is proposed. The machine includes a capsule delivery device, which has receptacles (14A), each for one capsule (C). The further includes at least one capsule expulsion station (XI), which has a capsule expulsion device (19) for axially expelling the capsules (C) from the respective receptacle (14A); guide flaps (24A, 24B) which are individually controllable by means of an actuating device (39) and are pivotable relative to a pivot shaft (31) and are each assigned to one capsule receptacle (14A) and which each have two guideways (33A, 34A), triggerable by means of the actuating device (39), for the respective associated capsules (A); and partitions, which separate the guideways (33A, 34A) of adjacent guide flaps (24A, 24B) from one another. The partitions are each an integrated component of one guide flap (24A, 24B) (FIG. 3).

  • Patent number: 6810930
Abstract: An apparatus for metering powdered filling material has a filling material container whose bottom is provided with bores which cooperate with tamping plungers and transfer plungers. Underneath the bottom is a stop ring which functions as a counter support for the tamping plungers. To prevent powder losses from the bottom the filling material container is axially movable in such a way that it can be pressed against the stop ring during the downward motion of the tamping plungers. This is achieved by means of hold-down elements which can be moved synchronously with the tamping plungers.

  • Patent number: 6435230
Abstract: A metering device has a filling material container with a metering disk. Metering bores for products such as microtablets are disposed in the metering disk. Underneath the metering disk in a transfer region, there is a capsule filling shaft which is disposed in line with prepared capsule bottoms. The invention proposes supporting the filling material container so that it can rotate on an axis which is disposed inclined in relation to the vertical. This permits the microcapsules to be easily dispensed into the metering bores, permits the microtablets to be handled in a manner that is gentle on the product, and permits a high performance of the metering device.

  • Patent number: 6390330
Abstract: An apparatus for metering and dispensing powder into hard gelatin capsules or the like. The apparatus has a metering disk that rotates in advancing steps, with bores disposed in its base. The bores which cooperate with tamping plungers that move up and down. The tamping plungers are disposed on a common tamping plunger support and when inserted into the bores, compress the powder into compressed pellets. In order to detect breakage of the springs and in order to be able to make a statement as to the mass of the compressed pellets, means are provided which detect the spring path of the tamping plungers immediately preceding the ejection plungers.

  • Patent number: 6286567
Abstract: An apparatus for volumetric metering of small quantities of a product and dispensing them into containers (a) has a metering disk that revolves around a vertical axis and has metering chambers embodied as apertures disposed in groups on a pitch circle. To close the lower opening of the metering chambers, pushers with apertures are displaceably supported on the underside of the metering disk; in the filling position, they close the metering chambers, and in the evacuation position they open them. The pushers are pulled into the filling position by a spring and are pressed into the evacuation position by a controlled stop.

  • Patent number: 6162998
Abstract: An apparatus for weighing hard gelatine capsules or the like has a feed conduit and a discharge conduit, as well as a weighing receptacle that is disposed between them with virtually no cap. By means of a pawl, whichever of the lowermost hard gelatine capsule or the like is released in the feed conduit and pushed over onto the weighing receptacle by a lever can be pivoted into the feed conduit. A vane wheel is also present, whose vanes engages the feed conduit, the weighing receptacle and the discharge conduit and thereby form virtually closed-off transport chambers, each for one hard gelatine capsule or the like.

  • Patent number: 6098675
Abstract: An apparatus for metering and dispensing powder into hard gelatin capsules or the like including an incrementally rotated product container. Bores that cooperate with stuffing dies and transfer dies are formed on the bottom of the product container. A repelling element is disposed in the region of the transfer die. Because of the special shape of the product container, an interstice is formed between the repelling element and a wall portion of the product container; the effect of the interstice is that the bores following the repelling element are adequately supplied with powder. The apparatus according to the invention has high metering accuracy and high output.

  • Patent number: 6050308
Abstract: A device for filling powder into hard gelatine capsules or the like has an incrementally rotated metering disk. A spacer disk is disposed underneath the metering disk and is coupled to the metering disk. In order to change the volumes of the compressed charges comprised of powder, sleeves are inserted in the bottom of the metering disk, which dip into second bores of the spacer disk, and to embody the distance a between the underside of the metering disk and the spacer disk so that the distance a can be changed by means of an adjusting screw. The device according to the disclosure is relatively simple in design and prevents non-homogeneities in the powder.
