  • Patent number: 8979191
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a pad of a seat cushion and/or of a backrest, a massage device having a plurality of pressurizable elements integrated into the pad in order to influence the contour of the seat and each of which can be controlled separately, and a control device for controlling the massage device, wherein, in addition to the massage device, a seat climate control system can also be controlled by the control device.

  • Patent number: 6485871
Abstract: A method of producing phase masks for automatically generating a layout for an integrated circuit includes the step of compacting a layout of an integrated circuit by processing a distance graph. A respective phase is allocated to at least some of a plurality of polygons in the layout in order to generate a phase mask, wherein the allocating step is performed during the processing of the distance graph.

  • Patent number: 5164902
Abstract: A drive slip control system for a motor vehicle which brakes a driven wheel when that wheel begins to slip and which reduces engine torque when both driven wheels begin to slip on the pavement. The action of the drive slip control system is inhibited when the engine speed falls below a preset speed, such as the engine idle speed.

  • Patent number: 4434772
Abstract: A carburettor or other combustible mixture generator 1 has a mixture chamber 3 surrounded by a tubular wall 2 which has an inner skin 9 and an outer skin 10 with an annular heating chamber 11 between them. Heating fluid such as exhaust gas or heated engine cooling water flows through the chamber 11 from an inlet 12 to an outlet 13 and so heats the inner skin 9. A fuel metering device 6, 7 directs the fuel on to the surface of the heated skin 9 and thus causes the fuel to be evaporated within the mixing chamber 3 upstream of a throttle 4. This greatly improves the uniformity of the mixture and the uniformity of its distribution through an inlet downstream of the throttle 4.

  • Patent number: 4231348
Abstract: To prevent misfires, the current through an ignition coil is increased in response to an error signal indicating that the actual spark duration was less than a predetermined minimum spark duration. At the start of the spark, a capacitor is discharged at a known rate. The time required for the voltage across the capacitor to reach a predetermined level is the desired spark duration. This regulation of ignition current causes the spark duration to be very close to the minimum spark duration, thereby cutting losses in the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4144858
Abstract: A fuel supply apparatus for an internal combustion engine in which fuel is supplied to the air induction tube in proportion to the aspirated air flow rate. A fuel metering valve, which may be electromagnetically actuated on the basis of engine rpm and other variables, is connected to the induction tube, possibly into the bypass channel of a carburetor to provide fine fuel control. Between the fuel metering valve and the induction tube there is disposed a pneumatic valve assembly including an equal pressure valve, the pressure chamber of which controls the fuel flow and the control chamber of which is coupled to the pressure chamber of a further, differentially-biased pressure control valve connected to downstream portions of the induction tube. The differential pressure valve maintains the control pressure in the equal pressure valve.
