  • Patent number: 4882742
Abstract: Before each actual resistance measurement, a first preliminary measurement with short-circuited measuring circuit and a second preliminary measurement with the measuring circuit operating at no-load are carried out. From the measured values of the preliminary measurement steps, a weighting factor is calculated, by which, subsequently, the difference between the actual measured value and the short-circuit value is multiplied to form the actual measurement results.

    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Wolfgang Kaiser, Werner Schmutzler
  • Patent number: 4839920
Abstract: A method is disclosed for measuring telephone dial pulse parameters independent of telephone subscriber line length. To avoid distortions resulting from varying subscriber line lengths, there is performed during the first pulse interval of a dial pulse series to be measured, a voltage measurement with results in a value that depends on the line length, and, in accordance with this value, the times measured for pulse interval and pulse duration of the dial pulse series are corrected.

  • Patent number: 4691337
Abstract: Analog voltages are collected by scanning the two wires of a subscriber line; the values are subjected to an analog-digital conversion and fed to a microprocessor (MC) which computes the desired measuring values from the results of said conversion. Thus, from a single measuring operation performed at two measuring points, nine different voltage values can thus be obtained including dc, ac and external voltages between each wire and ground and between the two wires.
