  • Patent number: 7670215
Abstract: The invention relates to a control device (1) for controlling airflows in motor vehicles, comprised of a frame having at least one passage opening (4) and at least one controlling means, which is provided in the form of a roller louver (5) and which serves to modify the passage cross-section for the air flowing through the passage opening (4). The frame comprises a housing (2) with at least two hollow bodies (8) that are open along the longitudinal sides. These hollow bodies (8) accommodate the drive shaft (6) or the return shaft (7) for the roller louver (5), and each have a pivotal cover (8.3) for opening the respective hollow body (8). • Patent number: 6953081
Abstract: The invention relates to a plate-type heat exchanger, in which at least one first flow passage (16) for a first medium is provided between two plates (12 and 14), which form a plate pair (13). A plurality of second flow passages (18), which are connected in parallel, for a second medium are provided between two plate pairs (13). To provide a novel, improved heat exchanger, which is easier to produce, it is proposed that the second, parallel-connected flow passages (18) are formed in each case by one plate (14, 12) from adjacent plate pairs (13).

  • Patent number: 6651453
Abstract: Disclosed is an air-conditioning device for a motor vehicle having a blower for feeding air through an air-conditioning housing, in which a cooling heat exchanger, a heating heat exchanger, and airflow control elements are arranged. The air-conditioning device and the heat exchangers have their greatest dimension in the transverse direction (y direction) of the vehicle. In order to provide a space-saving and cost-effective system, the blower is arranged laterally on the air-conditioning housing, and an air filter having approximately the same transverse dimension as the cooling heat exchanger is arranged in the air stream between the blower and cooling heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 6427760
Abstract: Disclosed is an air-conditioning system for a motor vehicle with which individual zones of the interior can be individually air-conditioned. The air-conditioning system is divided by means of at least one dividing wall into sub-regions, with the dividing wall having a dividing wall opening which can be closed off. The heating or air-conditioning system improves the safety, for example, by reducing the amount of condensation on windows, while conserving installation space. In a first region (B1 or B2 or B3 or B4), the partial air stream flowing therethrough can flow through a sub-region (22HL or 22VL or 22VR or 22HR) of heater (22), and the partial air stream, which has already been heated in the first region (B1 or B2 or B3 or B4) can after passing through the dividing wall opening (82R, 82L), also flow through a sub-region (22FL or 22RL or 22RR or 22FR), located in the second region (B2 or B1 or B4 or B3) of the heater (22).

  • Patent number: 6425437
Abstract: Disclosed is a motor vehicle air-conditioning system in which individual air-conditioning zones can be air-conditioned independently. The air-conditioning system is divided into four partial regions by partitions. In order to provide as small a construction space as possible as well as simple regulation, the coolant stream through the heater (22) is regulatable, in order to bring the entire heater (22) to a specific temperature. Thus, air flowing through the heater (22) can be controlled to a maximum temperature dependent on the temperature of the heater (22), corresponding to the (warmest) air temperature desired in one of the interior zones (HL, VL, VR, HR). In the other region(s) (B1, B2, B3, B4) of the air-conditioning system (10), the temperature of the air to be introduced into the other interior zone(s) (HL, VL, VR, HR) can be lowered by means of cold air guided via a bypass (32R, 62R).

  • Patent number: 6343485
Abstract: A cooling apparatus is disclosed which includes a housing and a plurality of chambers which are arranged therein, sealed tightly and filled with a storage medium. The chambers have a substantially flat cross section and are arranged in at least one group. Passages extend between the chambers. The chambers of a group are combined to form a block, and at least one passage is provided between each pair of adjacent chambers. Each of the passages is connected to distribution and collection chambers formed in the housing, in the area of the distribution and collection chambers, with at least one feed port and a return port.
