    Abstract: Hydraulic, adjustable vibration damper, such as for motor vehicles, in which, parallel to the damping valves, there is a bypass whose control body can be closed by a simple hydraulically or pneumatically pressurized adjustment apparatus, and opened by the internal system pressure of the vibration damper. For this purpose, the control body is equipped with a pressure intensifier, whereby on its external circumferential surface, an annular surface is created by a smaller-diameter portion for the application of the system internal pressure.
