Abstract: The invention provides novel sulfosuccinates of the formula wherein R1 represents a group R3CONR4(CH2)n(OCH2CH2)m—, R2 represents hydrogen, alkali metal, ammonium, alkyl ammonium or R1, R3CO represents a linear saturated acyl group having 12 to 18 carbon atoms, R4 represents hydrogen or methyl, n is a number of 2 to 4, m is a number of 2 to 10 and X is an alkali metal, ammonium or alkyl ammonium.
