  • Patent number: 4918478
Abstract: A tank for the wet processing of photographic material has a container mounted on the inside of one of its walls. The container communicates with a source of processing liquid and has at least one nozzle for spraying the liquid against photographic material being conveyed through the tank. The nozzle defines a constriction in the tank and an enlargement is present below the constriction. A movable rack has several pairs of rolls which serve to advance the photographic material through the tank, and one or more sheet-like guides for directing the photographic material to the nips of the rolls. At least one such guide is located below the constriction when the rack is mounted on the tank in working position and a portion of this guide is then disposed in the enlargement. To prevent the guide from catching on the nozzle upon removal of the rack from the tank, the guide is mounted on the rack for pivotal movement between an inoperative position and an operative position.

  • Patent number: 4403846
Abstract: An arrangement for introducing photosensitive strips into and for transporting the same through the interior of a developing machine includes an attaching compartment at the input part of the machine adjacent to a region into which the leading end of the respective strip is introduced through an input slot, the compartment having two opposite open ends one communicating with the exterior and the other with the interior of the machine. A lid is mounted on the walls bounding the compartment for pivoting between its open and closed positions and is latched in its closed position by a latching device. A separating slide is mounted on rails arranged at the other end for movement across the same between its open and closed positions. The opening of the lid is accomplished by gripping a handgrip which actuates a switch that commences the operation of a drive moving the slide into its closed position. Then, the latching device releases the lid, and the lid is opened.

  • Patent number: 4279371
Abstract: An arrangement for transporting strip-shaped material, particularly photographic paper, includes a one-piece elongated holding element which extends along a triple-turn hairpin course to form four holding sections which are substantially parallel to one another and define with each other three spaces for strip-shaped material. Two brackets which are welded to the end portions of the two outer sections of the holding element and are bent at right angle to the remainder of the respective outer sections support the holding element on a conveyor belt for travel therewith. The four sections of the holding element resiliently contact one another to clamp the strip-shaped material therebetween when such strip-shaped material is received between neighboring sections.

  • Patent number: 4218123
Abstract: Apparatus for introducing the leaders of webs of exposed photographic paper which is confined in cassettes into a dark chamber preparatory to threading of webs through a developing machine has a feed table with a channel for admission of webs into the chamber and an adapter with an open-and-shut housing for cassettes of different sizes. One section of the housing is separably mounted on the feed table and has an aperture in register with the channel as well as a pair of advancing rolls which lighttightly seal the internal compartment of the housing from the aperture and can be driven in opposite directions to advance the leader of a web into and through the channel. Another section of the housing is pivotable between open and closed positions to respectively afford access to and to lighttightly seal the internal compartment. The one section has pairs of internal platforms serving as supports for differently dimensioned cassettes.

  • Patent number: 4164371
Abstract: Apparatus for introducing webs of exposed photographic paper into a developing machine has a feed table with one or more channels communicating with a chamber below the table. The effective length of each channel can be varied by a plate-like selector which is slidable on the table and has several apertures each movable into register with the respective channel to define with the latter a passage for the leader of a web which is stored in a cassette on the table and is about to be introduced into the chamber for attachment to a threading strip which advances the leader through the tanks of the developing machine. The selectors can be locked in selected positions by discrete detent devices and have indicia to indicate their positions with respect to the feed table.
