  • Patent number: 8857543
Abstract: In a motor vehicle having an internal combustion engine disposed in an engine compartment provided with a hood, and also an electrical machine for at least assisting in driving the vehicle and generating electric energy, and a power electronics system for controlling the electric power supply to, and from the electric machine during operation of the motor vehicle by the internal combustion engine and/or the electrical machine, the power electronics system is arranged in the engine compartment above the internal combustion engine and below the hood.

  • Patent number: 4776444
Abstract: A device for the shifting of a multi-disk clutch for the locking of a transfer differntial for the drive of two vehicle axles of a motor vehicle, wherein the multi-disk clutch is engaged by means of the force of a spring and is released by means of an axial piston that can be acted upon by working pressure. The axial piston acts upon the set of disks via a pressure ring that, with respect to the disk carrier of one half of the clutch, is fixed in the direction of the clutch axis pointing away from a first counterbearing of the set of disks by a second counterbearing. The first counterbearing of the set of disks is coupled with the disk carrier by means of an adjusting arrangement that works toward displacing the first counterbearing by an additional spring force toward the pressure ring along the clutch axis.

  • Patent number: 4581950
Abstract: A mechanical selector device for a gear changing gearbox of a motor vehicle with a non-synchronized reverse gear has an axially displaceable idler gear, which is connected by means of a selector unit with a selector sliding sleeve, by means of whose axial displacement first a synchronizer clutch and subsequently a positive drive gear clutch of a forward gear can be operated. In order to facilitate the engagement of the idler gear when the gearbox driven shaft and the rotating layshaft are stationary, the selector sliding sleeve is connected with a slotted lever having a slot and being pivotable about a bearing axis fixed in location with respect to the gearbox casing and the selector unit is connected to a slot follower constrained to travel in the slot and having a movement path fixed with respect to the spatial axes of the gearbox casing--or vice versa.
