  • Publication number: 20200146768
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to dry inks for use in marking the eye prior to surgery and methods of applying the same to eye marking devices. Such inks can include various accepted inks for use on the eye that can be applied to a marking device using relatively fast-evaporating solvents. In this manner, the remaining ink composition can be precisely placed on the eye marking device, and desirably transfer to the marking surface of the eye without dissolving on the journey through the various membranes above the marking surface. Application methods may include use of charged ink particles that may be advantageously manipulated using magnetic fields to even more precisely place the dry ink on a marking device.

  • Patent number: 10642577
Abstract: A voice-controlled question answering system that is capable of answering questions using both a knowledge base and a search engine. The knowledge base is used to answer questions when answers to those questions are contained in the knowledge base. If an answer using the knowledge base is unavailable, and if the question is suitable for answering using an unstructured search approach, the system may obtain an answer using a search engine. The search engine results may be processed to obtain an answer to the question suitable for output using a voice user interface.

  • Patent number: 10614131
Abstract: Apparatus and methods described herein relate to a processor that can convert intelligence data into a data structure, and that can store the data structure in a data store. The processor can calculate an identity value for the data structure. The data structure can be immutable such that data represented in the data structure is not modified. A query engine implemented by the processor can receive a request for intelligence status data, and can query an index data store for a set of identity values correlated with data included in the request. The query engine can retrieve, from the data store, intelligence status data correlated with each identity value in the set of identity values. The query engine can also return a snapshot data structure representing at least a portion of the intelligence status data correlated with each identity value in the set of identity values, in response to the request.

  • Patent number: 10481497
Abstract: An imaging device has a photoconductive drum with a surface that is charged and selectively discharged to create a latent electrostatic image of an image to-be-printed for attracting toner for transfer to a media. A memory of the imaging device stores energy density values for use by the laser beam that can be accessed by a controller according to a predetermined number of media imaged by the photoconductive drum. During imaging, the controller controls the laser beam based on the stored energy density values. The energy density of the laser beam is increased or decreased when the laser beam is scanned along the photoconductive drum.

  • Patent number: 10469515
Abstract: Apparatus and methods described herein relate to a global workspace management compute device that can generate a workspace hierarchy tree representing a hierarchy of a set of workspaces in a network. A local workspace management compute device operatively coupled to the global workspace management compute device can, when operative, calculate workspace cyber-threat data for a local workspace in the set of workspaces based on data from a global workspace, and can provide the calculated workspace cyber-threat data to a local workspace interface so that the local workspace interface displays a representation of the set of workspaces in the network. After receiving modifications of portions of the local workspace cyber-threat data, the local workspace management compute device can define a child node of the local workspace based on the modifications. The local workspace interface can modify the representation of the set of workspaces in the network based on the child node.

  • Patent number: 10371065
Abstract: Disclosed are a fluid control system and method for controlling delivery of two variable pressure fluids to maintain a pressure bias between the two fluids within an end use device. The system employs an actively controlled vent valve which can be integrated into a fluid control module in preferred embodiments and is actuated to an open position to decrease fluid pressure in a first fluid supply line when a determined pressure differential reversal exceeds a predetermined threshold pressure differential reversal. The disclosed system is particularly useful in a high pressure direct injection (HPDI) multi-fueled engine system where the first fluid is a gaseous fuel and the second fluid is a liquid fuel. The fluid control system and method of controlling it provide for improved control of venting along with protecting system components from high back pressure and cross contamination of fluids.
