Publication number: 20240054854Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a multi-reel skill-based redemption game. An indication of a user desire to participate in the skill-based redemption game is received. The user's account balance is decreased, and simulated reels are spun. Adjustment arrows are displayed for a subset of the plurality of simulated reels. The player selects a simulated reel and a direction of adjustment for the simulated reel. If the player's adjustment creates a winning pattern, the user is rewarded with an increased account balance. The user may also be provided a bonus amount for achieving a number of consecutive wins.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2023Publication date: February 15, 2024Applicant: Epic Tech, LLCInventors: Robert Weatherby, Steven Wesley Davis, Troy Jungmann

Publication number: 20230097524Abstract: A fuel for an internal combustion engine includes a C5 to C30 dialkoxyalkanoate corresponding to formula (I): wherein the R1 group is —H or a —CH3 group, the R2 and R2? groups are alkyl groups independently selected to have 1 to 9 carbon atoms; and the R3 group is selected to have 1 to 9 carbon atoms. The compounds described herein may be used as neat fuels or mixed fuels (with diesel, biodiesel, jet fuel, marine fuel or other fuel compounds) in autoignition or spark ignition engines, such as diesel engines, gasoline (spark ignition) engines, MCCI, Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engines, or more generally in Low-Temperature Gasoline Combustion (LTGC) engines (using gasoline-like fuels), that have the high-efficiency advantages of HCCI but can operate with some level of charge inhomogeneities. Methods of making these compounds are environmentally friendly and can be done in a continuous manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2022Publication date: March 30, 2023Inventors: Nicholas Myllenbeck, Ryan Wesley Davis, Eric Monroe, Joseph Carlson

Patent number: 11518989Abstract: A method of improving a ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (RuBisCo) to have a higher protein score is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: making a modified RbcL of the RuBisCo, by, on an RbcL unit of the RuBisCo, either substituting Met for Leu, Phe, Val, or Ile or combinations thereof; substituting Lys for Arg, Thr, or His or combinations thereof; or both of these substitutions. The modified RbcL consequently modifies the RuBisCo and is added to a biomass host where it is stable for homologous recombination. Plastid and nucleus integration was observed. Example RbcL sequences are disclosed with the desirable substitutions. The improved RuBisCo can be used as an improved proteinaceous food source for humans and animals.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2020Date of Patent: December 6, 2022Assignees: National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, Arizona Board of Regents on behalf of Arizona State UniversityInventors: Ryan Wesley Davis, Joseph S.
